Sr. Program Manager
Job Title: Senior Program Manager

Job Description

As a Program Manager, you will serve as the principal point of contact for key military and commercial customers, showcasing your technical program leadership within the Rugged Embedded Computing industry. You will manage technical, multi-million dollar budgets, schedule, and lead action-oriented teams in the execution of integrated systems development programs, demonstrating your expertise in the Defense and Aerospace embedded environment.

ResponsibilitiesFamiliarize yourself with the architecture and implementation of complex VME board products and integrated systems for Defense and Aerospace.Own the schedule and cost management on programs, establishing baselines for planned cost, design configuration, and schedule.Establish and track metrics to monitor performance and progress.Lead multi-disciplinary teams within a matrixed organization.Act as a central authority in relationships with internal and external customers.Establish program status reporting to anticipate and take corrective action in problem areas before they occur.Develop contingency plans in potential risk areas and identify criteria for their deployment.Ensure pertinent written records document all agreements and commitments related to the project.Actively pursue new business and coordinate proposal responses.Work with Engineering and support organizations to analyze proposals, lead source selections, negotiation teams, and monitor subcontract costs, schedules, and technical performance.Essential SkillsProgram management and project management expertise.Proficiency in planning and forecasting.Familiarity with SAP and Microsoft Project.Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering preferred.PMP or MBA is desirable.Minimum of 5 years related experience.Extensive background in strategic planning, competitive assessments, and bidding/acquisition of multi-million dollar contracts.Experience working with Defense and Aerospace customer communities.Leadership of annual multi-million dollar budget.Strong interpersonal skills, especially in team building and customer relationships.Technical and program leadership experience.Familiarity with the Single Board Computer industry and integrated systems development.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with customer communications, negotiations, and proposal management.Contributions to strategic planning, plan execution, and technology roadmap updates.Ability to keep team members focused on schedule milestones and objectives.Motivational skills to develop cost-effective, customer-oriented solutions.Ability to lead by action and example.Ability to act independently and make decisions on administrative/operational issues.Must be able to obtain and maintain DOD Security clearance.Work Environment

The role involves working closely with a team of Program Managers and collaborating with floor engineers and customers to ensure on-time delivery. Decision-making on due dates and effective communication with the team and customers are crucial. The position requires you to be proactive, ensuring seamless communication and coordination across various departments.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $72.11 - $91.35/hr.
