Sr. Product Manager - Water Heating Controls

Resideo's Products & Solutions business is currently seeking an experienced Sr. Product Manager to lead the development of a long-term global platform strategy and roadmap for the Resideo Water Heater Controls platform. This includes Gas, Electric, and Heat Pump water heating platforms for storage, tankless and combination systems. The Senior Product Manager is responsible for growing revenue and gross margin by defining a long-term strategy, collaborating cross-functionally on implementation plans, and driving daily execution.
This position reports to the Product Line Leader and will lead major NPI programs bringing new and innovative products to life along with supporting all aspects of product lifecycle management for the business. This includes the following: develop, manage, and implement product/customer and marketing strategies and programs, new product development and introduction (NPI), value propositions, pricing, standard work, commercial launches, etc. Key performance metrics include (but not limited to) revenue growth, standard gross margin and EBITDA.
**JOB DUTIES:**
+ **Financial ownership** – Manages value propositions, pricing, product mix, and cost economics to drive revenue growth and gross margin expansion; is able to deploy business analytics and judgements to drive the right actions
+ **Strategy and growth planning** – Develops a vision and strategic plan for the product portfolio, in alignment with the overall Resideo strategy, that enables faster than market growth rates
+ **Market orientation** – Lives in the "field of play", understanding customer needs, competitive dynamics, and market trends that inform business decisions; display a desire to win
+ **New product excellence** – Ability to perform and coach market research / VOC and execute new product development from ideation to product launch
+ **Lifecycle management** – Manages the entire product portfolio through the lifecycle curve, deploying the right levers in marketing, sales, engineering, and ISC; deploy portfolio optimization tactics to drive simplification
+ **Cross-Functional Collaboration** : Partner with marketing, sales, R&D, and other teams to ensure product strategies are aligned with business goals and effectively communicated.
+ **Competitive Assessment:** Monitor and assess competitive products and programs; adjust strategy, as necessary.
+ **Internal and External Presentations:** Develop content for customer, partner or internal product training sessions as needed
+ **Sales Team Collaboration:** Work with sales organization to develop robust pipeline of OEM and Trade opportunities and support the RFQ process to win business.
+ **Cross Products & Solutions Alignment:** Partner with other product management groups within the organization (ex. water or thermostats) to develop end-to-end offering for OEMs, installers and service organizations.
**YOU MUST HAVE:**
+ 10+ years of Product Management, Marketing, Strategy, Business Development or related experience.
+ Ability to travel up to 30% of the time

+ **Technical Aptitude:** Solid understanding of mechanical and electronic control systems. While a technical degree is not required, the ability to grasp technical concepts is essential.
+ **Strategic Leadership:** Demonstrated success in leading teams, mentoring, and fostering growth in high-performing individuals. Experience in managing cross-functional collaboration is a plus.
+ **Adaptability and Drive:** Proven ability to manage change, quickly absorb new knowledge, and adapt to shifting priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
+ **Focus on Innovation:** Passion for driving new product developments (NPD/NPI) and emerging technologies, with a keen interest in high-efficiency HVAC solutions, gas controls, and emerging energy trends.
+ **Analytical and Business Acumen:** Strong business sense with the ability to align product management strategies to revenue and margin accountability.
