Through listening to customers, researching, and deeply understanding the market, this team leads the future of how Ford can differentiate its vehicles and create experiences customers love. We are looking for passionate product professionals who will continue to help us redefine the future of vehicle integration. **What you'll do...** + Own the end-to-end strategy and drive vehicle feature automation and customization for the VIS/Upfitter platform. + **Roadmap Planning:** Work closely with the regional business leads to ensure alignment on regional needs, feature priority, and business case alignment + **Champion VOC:** Work closely with upfitters and end users to determine proper use cases and best-in-class UI/UX experience, and translate our customer and business partner needs into clearly defined market requirements + **Documentation Creation:** Create artifacts (PRDs, PRFAQs, Strategy Documents) to guide product development work. + **Market Awareness:** Understand the competitive landscape, what other competitors offer, and how we can differentiate ourselves to be better + **Product Development:** Oversee the product development lifecycle, including defining requirements, creating user stories, and working closely with the various engineering and design teams to deliver high-quality products on time. + **Develop and maintain a comprehensive product backlog: Create** user stories, epics, and features, ensuring alignment with the product roadmap and business goals. + **Product Evangelist:** Support the business by attending marketing shows, on-site customer visits, virtual customer training, and VOC sessions, and internal showcases. + **Customer-focused:** Ensure that customer needs and feedback are at the forefront of product development efforts, enhancing user experience, and satisfaction. + **Stakeholder Management** : Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including product owners, software engineers, end users, and customer support, to gather requirements, prioritize features, and ensure successful product delivery. + **Overall Product Support:** Provide comprehensive support for the product, including post-launch maintenance, troubleshooting, customer training, and continuous improvement. **You'll have...** + 5+ years of Product Management experience, having shipped successful products in the past, with duties including but not limited to: + Experience in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban). + Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making. + Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. + Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously. + Deep understanding of customer needs and the ability to translate them into actionable product features. + Excellent collaboration skills, with a track record of working effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. + 2+ years as a Product Manager/Owner focused on software-based solutions (cloud-based and locally installed applications) + Strong leadership and communication skills to manage stakeholders across the organization, including strong documentation skills + A deep passion for your customers, their needs, and for building/shipping products to meet these needs + Demonstrated effectiveness in complex organizations + Proven ability to effectively utilize Jira for agile project management, including sprint planning, issue tracking, and reporting. + Demonstrated ability to achieve strategic goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment, and to evolve product strategy based on research, data, and industry trends; excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills. + Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall Software Methodologies + High School Diploma required. **Even better, you may have...** + Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and equivalent work experience + Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or relevant engineering working experience + Strong interest in the automotive space or a curiosity and willingness to learn + A plus if the area in the automotive space is focused on a vehicle's electrical system + People management experience, either directly or through influence + Experience working on hardware/software products + Experience in B2B businesses + Academic and/or work background in engineering or hard sciences + Embedded software expertise You may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!
