The worldwide Apple Retail Engagement Marketing & Merchandising (REMM) team defines, makes and delivers programs, campaigns, initiatives and experiences that help Apple Retail’s customers and teams discover, be inspired by, learn about and go further with Apple’s products and services, and does so in a manner that is true to our values.
Join our Retail App Design team as an experienced Sr. Product Designer and help shape the tools used by Apple's retail team members to deliver exceptional customer experiences. This is a hands-on design role. The ideal candidate has a passion for taking on complex problems by designing elegant, simple, intuitive solutions.
**Description**
As a Sr. Product Designer, you would play a key role in shaping the user experience across the suite of apps used by Apple Store team members. This role involves creating & leading innovative solutions that drive growth and adoption, staying curious about new spaces and technology, designing with behavioral principles in mind, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure design intent is carried through to development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Create designs, help set & uphold design standards, and patterns across various digital experiences and platforms.
- Outstanding ability to communicate your ideas to designers, engineers, product managers, and leadership through storytelling, visuals, and presentations.
- Distill complexity to create simple and innovative design solutions that can be adopted in Apple Retail Stores and contact centers globally.
- Conduct and consult on user research – analyze retail performance trends, customer insights, buyer surveys, and external market research to inform design solutions and future strategies.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ At least 7 years related design experience in product design (iOS, iPad & macOS).
+ Submit a portfolio of concepts and design solutions that includes sketches, wireframes, detailed designs and prototypes focusing on iOS, iPad & macOS platforms.
+ High proficiency in design and prototyping tools .
+ Experience designing apps at every stage of the process, from conception through delivery – driving the work forward through close collaboration with other designers and cross functional partners to ensure high quality outcomes.
+ Experience conducting or consulting on user research and usability testing.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Actively shares expertise, and champions best practices to elevate the broader design team's capabilities.
+ Experience leveraging AI/ML to enhance product capabilities and user experiences.
+ Familiarity with behavioral design principles, including understanding of human motivations, biases, and decision-making processes.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present work to large groups and executives.
+ Flexible and fast learner, with a proven track record delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced work environment.
+ Degree in interaction design, human interaction, sociology, psychology, visual design, or related field.
+ A passion for Apple, its products, and its customers.
**Pay & Benefits**
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
