Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025. The Senior Weekend Producer for Noticias Telemundo is responsible for leading the production of Noticiero Telemundo Fin de Semana. This role involves identifying newsworthy stories, developing and executing rundowns, actively participating in editorial meetings, long-term planning, and writing scripts for the newscast. The ideal candidate will have a strong editorial background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage a team effectively. They must be able to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and react quickly to breaking news. In addition to weekend responsibilities, the producer will also contribute to weekday newscasts under the guidance of newsroom leadership. Collaboration is essential, as the role requires close coordination with the news team as well as departments such as production, graphics, and promotions. Weekend availability is a must, along with schedule flexibility for early morning and night shifts as well as for breaking news and special coverage.   Basic Requirements: + Responsible for overseeing production of weekend newscasts, selecting, assigning, writing, and organizing news stories in rundown. + Line produces live shows for linear and streaming either in a control room or Tricaster settings. + Anticipating the needs of news coverage, the producer coordinates video, graphics, scripts, and other elements. + Organize and produce breaking news and show updates. + Contribute to the editorial line of the day. + Producer newscasts on the weekdays. + Work in collaboration with Assignment Editors, Reporters, news digital and production crews. + Strong writing skills. Precise, objective, and sharp + Write or revise scripts for accuracy and grammar. + Research for interviews and stories. + Able to request news graphics including editorial and creative process. + Guide talent, producers, and the technical team in the control room. + Newsgathering savvy. Must have social media knowledge.
