Sr. Player Development Manager

The Sr. Manager, Player Development is responsible for leading a high-performing team of Executive Hosts, leveraging data-driven insights to optimize guest engagement and business performance. This strategic leadership role requires a deep understanding of casino guest behavior, strong analytical capabilities, and a passion for developing talent. The ideal candidate will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Player Development department while serving as a mentor and coach—ensuring team members are equipped with the tools, guidance, and motivation to deliver results. This role strikes a balance between relationship-building and data analysis, guiding the team to proactively engage high-value guests and using advanced analytics to refine strategies, monitor performance, and drive incremental revenue. Collaboration across casino and cruise operations is essential, as is alignment with broader corporate objectives.

Job Functions:

Define and Analyze Success Metrics: Establish, evaluate, and continuously refine performance metrics for the Executive Host team, using data-driven insights to inform strategy and maximize revenue impact. Financial Reporting and Forecasting:  Prepare and present detailed reports on player development spend and revenue forecasts to the AVP, Global Casino Marketing, with a strong focus on ROI analysis and KPI performance. Strategic Guest Acquisition and Engagement:  Collaborate with the Global Casino Marketing team to identify and implement strategies that increase high-value guest penetration, leveraging segmentation, behavioral analytics, and targeted outreach. Program Innovation and Optimization:  Partner with the Groups and Events team to design and enhance guest experiences, ensuring programs are aligned with business objectives and deliver measurable value. Voice of the Guest Initiatives:  Lead the design and execution of guest focus groups, VIP surveys, and other feedback mechanisms to capture insights from high-value players and translate them into actionable business strategies. Deliver Exceptional Guest Service:  Provide timely, world-class service to both guests and internal stakeholders, modeling a culture of excellence and responsiveness.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Marketing, Business, Data Science, or similar). Strong analytical skills with demonstrable experience. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and think creatively. 7+ years in casino marketing, casino analytics, or player development with a focus on data-driven strategy. Experience in cruise, hospitality, or integrated resort operations strongly preferred Demonstrated experience in managing a diverse team. Hands-on experience in administering or implementing casino intelligence platforms, business intelligence platforms, and/or customer relationship management platforms preferred.  Facilitates cross-functional learning and conversations across teams. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Capable of delivering results in a remote/hybrid work environment. 

NOTE FOR CANDIDATES: This role is not a traditional casino host or player development role. Candidates must demonstrate a deep understanding of casino analytics, business intelligence, and multi-vertical collaboration across casinos, hotels, and cruise operations. Those with only host experience without experience in program development, implementation, and/or analytics will not be considered.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

The role involves leading the Player Development team in alignment with the strategic goals of Global Gaming This role must be able to find new and innovative solutions to drive incremental play from known high-value guests, as well as sourcing new high-value casino players This role has a direct impact on our revenue through generating additional bookings and additional onboard spend in the casino from very high-value players The analyst will lead analytic projects, requiring strong project management skills and the ability to work independently.

Physical Demands:  Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.

Travel:  Less than 25% with shipboard travel likely

This position is classified as “in-office.”  As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida Tuesday through Thursday each week. Employees may work from their homes on Mondays and Fridays.  Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.
