Sr. Payroll Specialist
Description Job Posting: Sr. Payroll Specialist Location: Onsite in Palo Alto, CA (40 hours per week) Employment Type: Full-Time Robert Half is looking for a Senior Payroll Specialist who can expertly handle payroll processing for 250-500 employees using Rippling, balancing both salaried semi-monthly employees (the majority) and contract workers (1099). If you're detail-oriented, compliance-savvy, and have multi-state or global payroll experience, this could be the next exciting step in your career. Key Responsibilities: + Administer payroll processing for a growing workforce of 300+ employees, using Rippling payroll software. + Handle semi-monthly payroll processing (70%) for salaried employees and 1099 processing (30%) for contractors. + Ensure accurate collection and processing of timekeeping data, leveraging expertise in payroll reporting and compliance requirements. + Maintain compliance with local, state, federal, and international payroll regulations as applicable. + Ensure confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive employee data. + Prepare and deliver payroll reports accurately and on time, supporting internal and external audit requirements as needed. + Collaborate across departments to guarantee proper workflow between timekeeping systems and payroll. + Help with ad hoc accounting and administrative duties when payroll is not being worked on + Contribute to process improvements and adapt to changes within a fast-paced environment. Requirements Qualifications: + Minimum of 5+ years of experience procssing payroll + Minimum of 1+ year processing payroll in Rippling for over 200 ee's + Proven ability to manage payroll operations for mid-size teams of 250-500 employees, including contractors (1099) and salaried staff. + Strong proficiency in timekeeping systems and compliance reporting. + Detail-oriented with the ability to meet tight deadlines. + Willingness to help with ad hoc administrative/accounting duties when payroll is not being worked on + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Advanced knowledge of payroll practices, compliance laws, and reporting standards. + Familiarity with employee compensation packages, deductions, benefits programs, and tax regulations. + Proficient in handling audits and providing accurate documentation. + Willingness to work onsite in Palo Alto, CA.
