Sr. Organization Development Specialist

As a Senior Organizational Development (OD) Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and accelerating Polaris’ leadership pipeline and talent planning strategies. This role is a member of the Talent Management Center of Excellence (COE) and partners closely with HR Business Partners, senior leaders, and cross-functional teams to enable enhanced talent development. **_Key Responsibilities_** _Talent Planning_ + Define talent development standards and partner across Org. Development to enhance training and execution of key talent processes (Succession Planning, Organization & Talent Review (OTR), Performance Management, Training, etc.) + Facilitate and evolve functional and enterprise talent councils by building talent review discussion standard work that can be leveraged across businesses/functions to facilitate leader calibration and planning of talent development + Partner with the Early Talent team to connect enterprise talent councils with governance structure of functional development programs + Define standards for internal talent movement in alignment with talent council infrastructure, including facilitating the bi-weekly Talent Movement Call to align COEs and HRBPs + Provide input on succession management philosophy and support efforts to educate HRBPs and leaders on the process + Develop and refine talent metrics and reporting in collaboration with HRIS and Talent Analytics teams _Accelerated Talent Development_ + Design and implement strategies to identify, assess, and accelerate development of high-potential talent + Define the process for HRBPs and leaders to work with talent to create and monitor individualized development plans, leveraging coaching, mentoring, development assessments, and stretch assignments + Build and launch tools to assess talent readiness and identify development needs in partnership with HRBPs and business/functional leaders + Support nomination processes for leadership development programs and ensure alignment with succession plans _Leadership Pipeline Development_ + Champion the Polaris Leadership Capabilities framework through identifying opportunities to further embed in our culture, including expanding understanding of Leadership Capabilities by leadership level + Partner across OD to integrate the Leadership Capabilities into processes and initiatives to elevate capability of talent in the leadership pipeline and upskill leaders across the organization + Collaborate across OD to align leadership development programs with pipeline needs and business priorities + Drive the adoption of success profiles and career pathing tools to support internal mobility and career growth _Org. Development & Talent Management Team Support_ + Support broader OD & TM team activities and critical initiatives, as needed **Required Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, or related field + 5+ years of experience in talent management, organizational development, or HR business partnership roles + Proven experience in succession planning, leadership development, and talent strategy execution + Strong facilitation, coaching, and consulting skills with the ability to influence at all levels + Excellent project management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities + Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms (Workday preferred) **Preferred Qualifications:** + Master’s degree in I/O Psychology, OD, or related field + Certifications in talent tools (e.g., Hogan, Korn Ferry, DiSC) or change management (e.g., Prosci) + Experience with leadership competency frameworks and internal talent marketplaces **What Success Looks Like** + A well-integrated leadership capabilities model that is embedded in key talent processes + Functional talent councils operating with consistency, clarity, and impact + Increased internal movement and visibility of high-potential talent + Clear, actionable development plans for successors and emerging leaders + Strong partnerships with HR and business leaders that drive talent outcomes The starting pay range for Minnesota is $82,000 to $105,000 per year. Individual salaries and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
