Description We are looking for an experienced Sr. Operations Manager to oversee and optimize operational processes within our organization. This role requires a strategic leader with a strong background in construction and electrical contracting, capable of managing teams and driving efficiency in logistics and project execution. Based in Burlington, North Carolina, this position offers an opportunity to contribute to impactful projects while fostering growth and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement processes that ensure operational efficiency and compliance with company standards.
• Lead and manage a team of 5 or more, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
• Coordinate logistics and warehouse management to streamline workflows and improve inventory control.
• Collaborate with contractors and project stakeholders to ensure successful completion of construction projects.
• Oversee procurement activities, including creating purchase orders and managing vendor relationships.
• Apply knowledge of electrical contracting to guide project planning and execution.
• Monitor project timelines and budgets to ensure adherence to schedules and cost constraints.
• Identify areas for improvement within operations and implement solutions to enhance productivity.
• Ensure safety protocols and regulations are followed across all operational activities.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork within the department. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably within the construction or electrical contracting industry.
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams of 5 or more.
• Strong knowledge of logistics, warehouse management, and procurement processes.
• Familiarity with construction project workflows and contractor collaboration.
• Expertise in electrical contracting and understanding of industry-specific terminology.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to analyze operational processes and implement improvements.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to work with diverse teams and stakeholders.
