**Job Description**
The Sr. Nuclear Hardness Engineer will support the Sentinel Program development with special emphasis on aspects of nuclear hardness and system resiliency, including the mitigation of compromising electromagnetic emanations and ensuring the system's emission security (EMSEC). Perform analysis of technical requirements as they pertain to nuclear environments, including effects of thermal, electromagnetic pulse, and radiation, amongst others, and assess the risk of unintentional radio or electrical signals, sounds, and vibrations that could be intercepted and used to gather sensitive information.
Additional responsibilities:
+ Support Integrated Product Team (IPT) activities, contributing to systems engineering and logistical tasks, with a focus on ensuring the system's design and manufacture meet standards to prevent spying on information systems through leaking electromagnetic radiation, acoustic emissions, or other compromising signals
+ Conduct research concerned with design, manufacture, and test of components, equipment, and systems, including the development of shielding and grounding techniques to protect against electromagnetic interference (EMI) and ensure communications security (COMSEC)
+ Analyze and prepare documentation for highly complex engineering designs, analyze operational systems, and recommend design modifications to eliminate causes of malfunction or changes in system requirements, including those related to emission security (EMSEC) and the prevention of compromising emanations
+ Performs other related duties as assigned

**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Bachelors degree in Electrical engineering, physics, or mathematics
+ Minimum 7 years of related experience (5 years with MS degree)
+ At least 3 years progressive responsibility in providing technical leadership
+ Knowledge of nuclear environmental effects such as radiation transport, thermal, electromagnetic pulse, and mechanical shock and vibration effects
+ Knowledge of electromagnetic environmental effects (mainly EMI/EMC/lightning protection) as well as proper shielding and grounding for these effects to prevent compromising electromagnetic radiation
+ Knowledge of semiconductors, signal processing, and the potential effects of unintentional radio frequency (RF) signals on wireless communication systems.
+ Proficiency in reading, writing, and peer reviewing technical reports
**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Preferred familiarity with PSPICE/SPICE
+ Knowledge of power electronics design
+ Experience with techniques for preventing the interception of sensitive information through electromagnetic radiation, acoustic emissions, or other means
+ Familiar with Air Force processes and programs, especially as they pertain to the Department of Defense acquisition lifecycle and risk management
+ Nuclear weapon systems experience with a working knowledge of nuclear missile standards
+ Familiarity with related government and military standards such as MIL-STD-464, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-1766, MIL-STD-188-125-1
+ Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering software such as Cameo
+ Experience with requirements management and tracking/tracing using software such as DOORS
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $118504 - $201457
