Sr. Engineering Technician

Position Summary
The Sr. Engineering Technician is responsible for performing highly mechanical, electrical and technical prototype development for the fuel cell industry. The person in this role is expected to work both independently in an engineering laboratory environment as well as under the direction of an engineer, scientist or technologist and is responsible for a variety of tasks, including system, subsystem and component prototype development, characterization testing, recording data, protecting the accuracy and efficiency of engineering experiments, maintaining equipment and tools, and keeping the lab organized and in good working condition. In addition, this person is expected to operate a small-scale test stand for short and full-size stack testing and development.

Education and Experience
Must have a High School DiplomaMinimum of five (5) years of mechanical/electrical experience, three years in the hydrogen fuel cell industry preferred; four years in automotive diagnostic and repair experience a plusDemonstrated experience working in an engineering laboratory following safety rules, procedures and techniques as well as using equipment and apparatus for prototype developmentDemonstrated knowledge of hydrogen gas cylinder safetyDemonstrated ability to work independently as well as an effective member of a teamPlug Power Inc. is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. Estimated Base Salary Range:
$30.80 - $44.40
