SR. MECHANICAL ENGINEER (STATIC & PIPING)
Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
Chartered Engineer / Professional Engineer status or equivalent is preferable
Experience
10 years of relevant post-graduate experience, with at least 6 years in the Oil & Gas industry across both Static and Piping disciplines. Expert-level competency required in at least one of these areas
Ability to identify and apply relevant engineering standards, international codes, and internal company standards related to Mechanical Engineering
Proven track record in managing time, cost, and quality across greenfield and/or brownfield major projects, as well as in multi-project environments
Experience in concept development, Front-End Engineering Design (FEED), EPIC execution, and technical support to site or plant operations
Strong communication and presentation skills; fluent in English
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Provide technical design and engineering services in Mechanical Engineering for all assigned projects, ensuring high technical quality while considering schedule, cost, and HSE performance
Conduct mechanical engineering activities and site surveys from concept definition through engineering studies, FEED, detailed design, and commissioning
Ensure technical assurance practices, engineering standards, and safety/environmental policies are followed throughout project scopes and mechanical engineering activities
Review technical deviations and variations from approved standards, codes, and practices
Support the Engineering Department in reviewing, updating, and applying internal engineering standards and amendments to external standards
Plan and coordinate activities of a multidisciplinary team to ensure timely and quality delivery of engineering services
Coordinate and review multi-disciplinary work scopes for project execution and general engineering activities, ensuring clarity and comprehensiveness
Review and approve method statements from contractors for scope compliance, and engage in resolving technical issues
Develop and monitor schedules for in-house engineering tasks, and contribute to scheduling for FEED/EPIC phases
Evaluate technical bid packages to ensure alignment with scope requirements
Review and assess contract changes and variations in accordance with approved guidelines
Support development of technical skills and competencies for self and team; participate in structured training programs for junior engineers
