SR. MECHANICAL ENGINEER (ROTATING EQUIPMENT)
Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
Chartered Engineer/Professional Engineer status or equivalent is preferable.
Experience
10 years relevant post-graduate experience, of which 6 years should be related to the Oil & Gas industry.
Ability to identify and utilise relevant engineering standards and Codes related to Rotating Equipment Engineering.
Proven ability to manage time, cost and quality in engineering projects within a multiple project environment.
Good communication and presentation skills with fluency in English.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Provide technical design and engineering services in Rotating Equipment Engineering for all assigned engineering projects, achieving the required technical quality of work in accordance with internal procedures, while considering quality, schedule, cost, and HSE.
Conduct Rotating Equipment Engineering activities and in-house site surveys for projects from initial concept definition through to engineering studies, FEED, detailed design, and commissioning.
Ensure the required technical assurance practices, engineering standards, environmental and safety policies are incorporated and followed in work scopes and during execution of Rotating Equipment Engineering activities. Review technical deviations and variations to approved guidelines, codes, standards, and practices.
Support the Engineering Department in reviewing, updating, and applying company standards and amendments to external standards.
Plan and coordinate activities of a team of multidiscipline engineers to provide timely delivery of technical services aligned with project requirements.
Coordinate engineering designs, and develop and review multi-disciplinary work scopes for projects and other engineering activities, ensuring work scopes are comprehensive and clear.
Review and approve method statements developed by contracted organisations for scope compliance. Liaise with contracted organisations to resolve technical issues.
Develop, update, and monitor schedules for in-house engineering activities; contribute to external FEED/EPIC scheduling activities for effective project delivery.
Conduct evaluation of technical bid packages for scope compliance.
Review and evaluate Contract Changes/Variations in line with approved guidelines and practices.
Support the development of personal and team technical competencies. Participate in structured training programs for junior engineers.
