You will be part of a collaborative group that champions your career and passions, embraces challenges, understands the importance of work-life balance, and shares our commitment to making a positive impact through your work.    Farnsworth Group is seeking a Sr. Engineer - HVAC Building Systems in the below posting location.  In this role, you will have the opportunity to grow a local MEP team with technical support from our multiple other MEP locations. In addition, you will provide mechanical design services applied primarily to HVAC, Fire Protection and Plumbing systems for healthcare, commercial, long-term care, industrial and educational facilities.   Posting Location for this role: Waukee, IA   Job Activities: Responsible for planning, conducting and coordinating detailed phases of design Presents design reviews to clients Supports/assists development of project proposals and schedules Develops scopes and budget estimates for mechanical discipline work Specific Requirements include: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering 8+ years of experience with Building Mechanical Systems Registered Professional Engineer License strongly preferred Design experience relative to medium/large commercial and institutional HVAC systems, including hydronic heating and cooling applications Familiarity with Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Carrier HAP/Trace 700, and Microsoft Office Suite Diversified project type experience preferred Strong team player in a multi-disciplinary environment Excellent oral and written communications skills About Farnsworth Group Farnsworth Group is a 135-year-old engineering, architecture, and surveying firm with over 600 talented professionals across a nationwide network of 24 offices.
