Sr. Manufacturing Manager
Johnson Service group, an award-winning staffing company is seeking an experienced Aerospace Manufacturing Manager to lead and oversee daily production operations in our MIL or LAVE grinding manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex aerospace production lines, implementing lean manufacturing principles, and ensuring adherence to stringent quality and safety standards. This role is pivotal in driving operational efficiency, product quality, and continuous improvement. This is Direct Hire job for an Aerospace Manufacturing company in Van Nuys, CA.

Salary $140K
  Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage all aspects of aerospace manufacturing operations, including planning, production, scheduling, and quality control. Ensure production goals are met in terms of cost, quality, delivery, and safety. Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, supply chain, and program management to ensure seamless workflow and communication. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using manufacturing best practices. Manage and mentor production supervisors, technicians, and assembly personnel; foster a culture of accountability, performance, and teamwork. Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor production efficiency, capacity, and quality. Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, FAA, and other regulatory standards. Participate in new product introduction (NPI) processes and ramp-up planning. Oversee equipment maintenance schedules and capital improvement projects to optimize production capabilities. Identify and mitigate risks related to production delays, resource constraints, or material shortages. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 7+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role. Deep understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes including machining, assembly, composites, and precision fabrication. Strong knowledge of quality standards including AS9100, FAA regulations, and NADCAP. Experience with ERP/MRP systems and digital manufacturing tools (SAP, Oracle, etc.). Demonstrated success in leading lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. Knowledge of Job Boss ERP system is a plus.
