Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Head of Security to lead our global security operations including executive protection, corporate offices, and manufacturing facilities. This role is responsible for safeguarding our people, assets, and reputation through proactive risk management, threat mitigation, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will bring a distinguished background in federal law enforcement (e.g., FBI), military service (e.g., U.S. Army), and private sector leadership within the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) or Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Executive Protection & Corporate Security
Design and oversee executive protection programs for senior leadership, including travel security, residential safety, and event risk planning.Manage physical security operations across corporate offices and manufacturing plants, ensuring robust access control, surveillance, and emergency response protocols.Supply Chain & Manufacturing Security
Ensure the security and integrity of supply chain and manufacturing operations through risk assessments, compliance monitoring, and incident response.Implement and manage physical measures across production sites, logistics networks, and vendor relationships.Build leadership and employee awareness capabilities by developing training programs, communication strategies, and engagement initiatives focused on supply chain and manufacturing security best practices.Risk Assessment & Threat Management
Lead enterprise-wide risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implement mitigation strategies.Develop and maintain threat intelligence capabilities to proactively monitor and respond to emerging risks.Conduct site-specific and operational risk evaluations across all business units.Workplace Violence Prevention
Establish and lead workplace violence prevention programs, including training, reporting mechanisms, and response protocols.Collaborate with HR, Legal, and EHS teams to address behavioral threats and ensure a safe working environment.Crisis Management & Incident Response
Lead crisis response planning and execution, including emergency preparedness, business continuity, and post-incident reviews.Serve as the primary liaison with law enforcement and emergency services during critical incidents.Security Strategy & Governance
Develop and implement a global security strategy aligned with business goals and regulatory requirements.Ensure compliance with relevant laws and standards (e.g., OSHA, GDPR, local labor laws).Leadership & Collaboration
Build and lead a high-performing security team across regions and functions.Partner with cross-functional teams including Legal, HR, IT, Operations, and Communications to deliver integrated security solutions.Technology & Innovation
Evaluate and deploy advanced security technologies including surveillance systems, access control, and digital threat detection tools.Who we’re looking for:
Proven leadership in corporate securityPrior service in Intelligence or Law Enforcement agencies, or equivalent federal/military security roles10 -15+ years of experience in executive protection, physical security, and risk managementSupply chain and manufacturing security experience. Candidates should have a strong background in securing complex supply chain systems in companies involved in manufacturing environments, including risk assessment, threat mitigation, and compliance with industry standards.Strong understanding of manufacturing environments and supply chain securityExperience managing multi-site and global security operationsExpertise in workplace violence prevention and behavioral threat assessmentBachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or related field; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., CPP, PSP, ASIS) preferredNice to Have:Strategic thinker with operational agilityHigh integrity and discretionStrong crisis leadership and decision-making skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder engagementMultilingual capabilities a plusCPG or FMCG experience.
Base Salary Range $182,000 - $242,000
