Job Summary
The Fleet License Renewal Manager leads the full lifecycle of license renewal and subsequent license renewal (SLR) across Vistra’s nuclear fleet. This role ensures safe, compliant, and efficient execution of all license renewal project phases, from scoping and application development through NRC approval and site implementation, while maintaining alignment with Vistra’s nuclear standards. The manager is accountable for directing site leaders and contractors in scope, schedule, cost, and execution to deliver successful license renewal outcomes.This role can be based at any of the sites within our nuclear fleet in OH, PA & TX, including Perry, Davis-Besse, Beaver Valley and Comanche Peak.

Key Accountabilities
Pre-Planning and Scoping – Define SLR scope, strategy, and objectives; align with sites and stakeholders.Engineering and Application Development – Lead application prep, ensure NRC compliance, and coordinate reviews.Procurement and Contracting – Oversee Scopes, Cost, contracts, and contractor performance.Outage and Implementation Planning –Lead the integration of LRI & SLR into site schedules, lead readiness, and plan logistics to include inspection scopes. Execution – Manage site leaders/contractors for scope, schedule, cost, safety, and compliance.Post-Approval/Close-out – Secure NRC approvals, implement commitments, and complete final closeout.Travel - As needed to Industry Meeting, Vistra Sites and NRC as requiredEducation, Experience, & Skill Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Nuclear Engineering or Project ManagementMinimum of 10 years of nuclear industry experience, with at least 5 years in project management or regulatory programsPrior experience leading license renewal (LR) or major regulatory initiatives strongly preferredPMP or equivalent project management certification required, or must be obtained within 2 yearsStrong knowledge of NRC license renewal regulations, nuclear plant systems, and outage planningProven ability to manage contractors and site leaders for scope, schedule, cost, and executionExcellent skills in leadership, communication, and stakeholder managementKey Metrics
