We are currently looking for a Sr. Manager Digital Design & Visualization to join our team in San Deigo, CA. The team focuses on creating photo-realistic 3D models and 2D assets of studio design proposals visualized in an aesthetically pleasing virtual environment based on design direction and target customer.  

A Day in the Life:   

Manage and contribute to all digital design projects in all design phases from Concept to Class A data releaseCollaboratively plan Resources, Schedule, Assign, Supervise and Coordinate 3D design property and visualization activity      Manage timing & deliverable quality of all NDA digital 3D projects while maintaining design intent and incorporating Engineering parameters   Manage timing & deliverable quality of all NDA visualization requests to meet the individual project needsCollaborate and negotiate with Engineering and Design Leadership to create production feasible proposalsCreate in a fast paced, dual brand, multiple project, collaborative, creative environment with a high level of responsibility for each designer and managerCreate presentations and communicate design proposals visually and verballyMentor project based, collaborative team for continuous growth and future visionStay abreast of American and international automobile design, current technologyAbility to work outside standard business hours to collaborate with global counterparts is requiredTravel: Occasional, as needed to domestic, regional, and international locations

Who We’re Looking for:

Required:

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Transportation Design or Industrial DesignMin 10 years of experience in an automotive design studio with a high level of personal output and demonstrated project and people leadership responsibilitiesWorking knowledge of digital design and visualization processes in a tech driven automotive design studioAgile scheduling and adaptation to feedbackAdd value to creative design output with a future thinking mindsetFoster positive communication within a collaborative working environmentTechnical ecosystem evolution – plan 3, 5, 7 year strategic vision  Train team on new software & features to increase efficiency in the studioArtistic use of Alias Autodesk, VRED, Blender, Unreal, After EffectsConfigure and present design reviews using VR, AR, XR systemsMicrosoft Office in a Windows PC environment. Portfolio submission is required

Salary Range:

$152,057.00 - $236,508.00

Salary Range Estimate: Annual Salary: (Minimum to Maximum of  Salary Range noted here). This compensation range represents the minimum and maximum base salary rates at Nissan for jobs assigned to this particular grade level. Please note that it is uncommon for an employee to be placed at either end of the range.  Rather, an employee’s actual base salary generally may fall somewhere in between and reflect the employee’s unique skills, work experience, education, work location, and market norms.  Additionally, pay may be based on comparisons to the base salary rates of other employees with similar backgrounds working in comparable roles.
