Main responsibilities:

As a Senior Manager within our Business Development Team for Loyalty, you will play a critical role in sourcing and building strong relationships with strategic top brands for loyalty partnerships to enhance our loyalty program and add value to our 45M+ loyalty program member. Your primary responsibility will be to identify, evaluate, source, and launch large scale partnerships that add value to both the partner and Albertsons. You will do this by building relationships with senior executives in various verticals such as finance, music, retail, streaming, etc. and leveraging your own professional network to find strategic solutions. You will act as a trusted advisor to help our clients successfully meet their needs through our loyalty program and enhance the value of our loyalty program by adding benefits with high member engagement.

This role will be additionally responsible for identifying and documenting the needs and learnings of the loyalty vertical and coordinating with relevant internal stakeholders to identify solutions to meet these business needs. This role has a significant financial impact within the company.

Key Accountabilities

20% Understand the needs of the loyalty vertical and product/service offering of Albertsons to build the pitch deck specific to the vertical. Identify existing and new business opportunity in this vertical and engage with these companies to continuously refine our B2B loyalty offering. 40% Build a pipeline of companies in the specified verticals, reach out to a defined number of companies every period and close a minimum number of deals every period, as defined by the business. Perform, direct, and review all due diligence and financial analysis for all potential deals. This includes projecting revenue and cost for every engagement and lifetime value of a deal. 10% Upon closing a deal, coordinate all closing and post-closing activity. Ensure a seamless integration with the partner and ACI to deliver the services. This includes ensuring Corporate, Division, and store management are prepared to deliver the B2B services in a timely manner. 20% Grow the existing book of business by maintain an active engagement with the companies and by identifying the new services that we can offer. Be the voice of the customer to learn about their evolving needs and partner with internal teams to find corresponding solutions. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills are imperative for success. 10% Report on progress of their book of business, key learnings, and challenges. Pilot new programs and initiatives that can be rolled out regionally/nationally across all verticals.

We are looking for candidates who possess the following:

BA/BS degree or equivalent job experience 10 plus years of business development experience in eCommerce, loyalty, or retail industries building partnerships with top brands 3+ years of business-to-business selling experience Strong professional network within Fortune 500 Companies Knowledge and understanding of grocery retail industry is a plus Knowledge and experience in establishing loyalty partnerships with Fortune 500 companies Experienced in self-prospecting, cold-emailing companies, qualifying, objection handling and closing deals Strong financial and analytical skills Excellent interpersonal, relationship building and negotiating skills Ability to work well with senior management. Ability to work efficiently and maintain confidentiality

Key Responsibilities

Identify, qualify, close, launch and grow Business commitment to Albertsons loyalty program. Self-prospect to build a robust partnerships pipeline and effectively manage it. Implement and track metrics for measuring the success of deals launched. Partner with internal and external teams such as engineering, finance, marketing, product, and the legal team to manage complex contract negotiations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access Excellent communication and presentation skills at all levels of the organization. Must have P&L experience of at least 5 years working with portfolios that exceed 10 million dollars or more in accountabilities.

Travel Requirements

Percent of the time does this position require travel away from the home office up to 25%

The salary range is $118,100 - 170,000 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates.
