The Sr Manager US Civil Society will serve as primary State and Commercial liaison and external facing lead for philanthropic program aligned with business and developing local partnerships and visibility.

 

 

 

Your ‘day to day’:

 

Help execute events, initiatives and programs that align with the company’s philanthropic efforts and corporate responsibility initiatives.

 

Meet with external parties, attend external events on behalf of PMI U.S., including public speaking and engagement on PMI’s mission and Civil Society initiatives.

 

Regularly work with internal state EA, Commercial, and Communication teams to align Civil Society with PMI U.S.’s mission and business goals while leading philanthropic strategy and initiatives to invest in the communities where we live and operate.

 

Collaborate with Law, Compliance, and Comms teams to ensure Civil Society’s efforts align with industry standards and responsible messaging guidelines.

 

Assist in the development of communication materials, including reports and presentations to highlight PMI's community engagement efforts. In coordination with U.S. Comms, ensure storytelling is authentic, data-driven, and aligned with brand values, particularly in the areas of social impact, responsible business practices, and community engagement.

 

Monitor industry trends and best practices to help shape thought leadership and corporate positioning on social responsibility.

 

Work closely with internal and external teams to bring initiatives to life in select communities.

 

Help develop content toolkits and frameworks for internal teams to use in stakeholder engagement.

 


 

Who we’re looking for:

 

7+ years of experience in civic engagement, ideally within a Fortune 500 company, media outlet, or in an agency setting.Proven ability to execute initiatives that engage diverse audiences.Strong strategic planning and project management skills, including budget management, with the ability to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders and including public speaking.Understanding of corporate philanthropy and CSR initiativesAbility to translate data and insights into digestible and persuasive content.Event-planning and story-gathering skills welcome.Experience working cross-functionally with Civil Society, External Affairs, Commercial, Law, Compliance, and U.S. Comms.Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.Passion for community engagement and a commitment to making a positive social impact.Bachelor’s degree related to community engagement, public relations, social sciences, or a related field, preferred.

 

Annual Base Salary Range: $181,500-$242,000
