This role is part of Alcon's Commercial & General Management function, a team that oversees the company's commercial strategies to ensure operational efficiency and support strategic decision making as we transform the eye care industry.
The Sr. Manager, Strategic Pricing & Planning (Professional Path) is primarily responsible for leading and coordinating health economic and real-world evidence assessments to align with market strategies and optimize product value propositions. You will demonstrate product value, ensure patient access, and apply advanced knowledge and experience to achieve objectives. Specifics include:
• Lead and coordinate the development, implementation, and communication of health economic and real-world evidence assessments across the organization’s portfolio
• Develop and communicate strategies that demonstrate the value proposition of the company’s products globally, delivering evidence generation projects that maximize brand value
• Manage health economic and real-world evidence projects from concept and protocol development to final manuscript, providing strategic input into development programs and commercial plans throughout the product’s lifecycle
• Drive publications and stakeholder interactions to support access in key markets and provide a scientific backbone to commercial and payer messages
• Lead the Strategic Pricing Function within the local country setup with full accountability, executing a comprehensive approach to pricing strategies aligned with company values and objectives
• Shape and execute successful pricing strategies, ensuring a clear and well-defined approach before passing it to the customer operations team for execution and contract management
• Develop and deploy Vision Care price management strategy across the product portfolio and channels in APAC markets, leading analytics and compliance control of local price management
• Coordinate with various functions within the region and markets to consider factors such as local anti-competitive pricing regulations with Legal
• Manage the promotion approval process across APAC and join contract/price negotiations with customers as needed
• Drive innovative economic modeling activities and design evidence generation projects to support products from a health economic perspective, demonstrating value proposition to external stakeholders
• Collaborate in cross-functional teams to drive evidence generation needs, develop innovative analysis plans, and manage data-driven initiatives
• Leverage relevant best practices from Europe into APAC strategy and execution as the APAC Vision Care representative on the International Pricing Board
