The Senior Sales Manager of Regional Sales is responsible for growing the Regional Retailer business revenue of Mobile Experience (MX) products in Samsung’s National Retail team, and reports to the Director of Sales. Responsible for both existing and prospected portfolio of accounts, maintaining the integrity of consumer division strategies, implementation and execution of sales and marketing programs, and attaining the sales goals for the assigned segments. Engages with all levels of the organization, both internally and externally.
Role and Responsibilities
Drive sales revenue of all categories on all designated accounts and opportunities, both Direct and Indirect (distributor-led).Must possess strong sales acumen and a compelling customer presence, be able to communicate extremely clearly and effectively even in ambiguous circumstances, and ultimately be able to establish and enhance strong relationships with key customer contacts in order to successfully position Samsung's portfolio and drive sales.Daily customer contact; maintaining current and developing new opportunities.Manage communications, sales promotion development, and training as required to stimulate and facilitate the sale of Samsung's products.Manage cross-functional teams including team Leadership, Product, Field Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Legal, external Samsung North American teams, Customer teams and others in order to drive the launch and sales of new products and solutions.Be effective and uphold the highest standards of integrity.Be comfortable with ambiguity and making necessary decisions with limited information.Must be able to optimize cross-channel sales strategies and resolve various internal and external issues related to sales.Responsible for solving moderately complex technical problems and responding to non-standard requests from internal and external customers in a fast-paced environment.Responsible for the development, execution and presentation of monthly/annual sell-in, sell-through, and sell-out sales plan across the different accounts, and in aggregate for the portfolio of accounts.Organize, prepare and present executive summaries/ quarterly business review meetings.Oversee the administration of sales orders, program execution and validation, and channel communication.Responsible for actionable analysis and associated periodic reporting of key account, market and industry trends.Selectively support and attend customer, distributor and industry events.May be responsible for development of more junior sales staff.Up to 25% domestic travel.Skills and Qualifications
Outstanding presentation and sales skills, impeccable interpersonal skills, confident and polished executive presence, and strong negotiation and client management and solution selling experience.Demonstrated competency in both oral and written communication modes for both internal and external personnel at various levels.High degree of personal initiative.Works independently and in a team environment in order to achieve customer business objectives, personal and team goals and complete assignments within established time frames and specifications.The ability to develop tasks and work assignments, based on sometimes vaguely defined objectives.Must be able to make decisions on product assortments, sales programs, and marketing investments.Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all assigned levels within and outside the company.Plan, organize, and prioritize multiple assignments and projects.Review detailed product development, marketing documents and media materials as needed.Excellence in MS Office products including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-look ups, and data analysis).Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years of experience required.Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in enterprise technology sales, business development and/or OEMs and Carrier sales.Experience with large partners/portfolio in excess of $50M.Ability to find mutually beneficial solutions to complex problems.Strong proficiency in navigating dashboards and data to discover actionable insights to drive sales.Location:
