JOB SUMMARY: Provides strategic direction in the finance function at Universal, specifically ensuring accuracy of financial results (accounting function) and financial reporting submissions (reporting function). This job involves leading a team of staff accountants and/or analysts. An additional aspect of the job includes managing the external audit process. The Senior Manager must participate in financial reviews with executive leadership. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: + Manage finance staff by providing leadership, coaching, mentoring, career development, and performance management. + Direct and supervises the overall financial reporting function. + Oversee month-end financial close process. + Develop short- and long-term financial cash flow plans including forecasts, budgets, and five-year plans. + Assist Finance Leadership with ad-hoc projects. Tasks include research of highly complex accounting issues, lease analysis, and finance support for digital projects. + Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting of business results with variance commentary. + Perform in-depth analysis on actual financial performance extending findings to provide meaningful recommendations. + Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities. + Perform other duties as assigned. EDUCATION: + Bachelor’s degree is required. Master’s degree is preferred EXPERIENCE: + 7+ years’ Finance experience, including 5+ years Supervisory preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: + CPA preferred. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: + Advanced Excel skills (ability to create financial models from PowerPivot and Data Modeling), required + Experience with financial systems such as SAP, a plus + Qualified accounting and finance skills (i.e., certified accountant, Mastery in business administrations), a plus + May require interaction with global partners outside of normal business hours Your talent, skills and experience will be rewarded with a competitive compensation package.
