This position is within the Laboratory Products Group (LPG) business unit of Thermo Fisher Scientific reporting to the Laboratory Plastics Division (LPE) Rochester, NY Join Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. as a Sr Manager, Facilities and Maintenance and play a key role in optimizing our Facilities and Maintenance operations to exceed customer expectations in safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and efficiency. A day in the Life:

Provides mentorship, direction, and leadership to ensure that products are manufactured with the highest level of quality in a safe and timely manner.Builds strong alliances across all functions and is a strategic liaison to Operations, Product Management, Sales, Customer Service, Design Engineering, and Finance.Maintains a safe work environment and a high level of safety awareness among associates.Mentors and develops direct reports.Establishes goals, sets priorities, and coordinates activities within the Maintenance group.Monitors, reviews, and improves operations, driving corrective and preventative actions.Manages expenses to meet budgets and financial objectives.Maintains accurate staffing levels and coordinates work assignments.Reviews critical metrics for the Value Stream each month.Performs all job duties in a safe manner, consistent with the Code of Ethics and the 4-I Values, and follows all ISO standards.

Education/Experience

Bachelor’s degree in business management or engineering strongly preferred, or equivalent experience.10+ years working experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a maintenance and/or tooling leadership capacity.Strong leadership and decision-making ability.Show a dedication to continuously improving processes with the ability to lead and manage change effectively.Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills.Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to work effectively in a team environment.Knowledge, experience, or training in Lean techniques and proficient in process auditing.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in New York is $130,000.00–$194,950.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
