Job Summary
This individual is a key contributor on the HRSD Data & Insights team and will lead a team of analysts that generates dashboards, key insights and trends to identify areas of opportunity in HRSD’s programs and services. The Sr. Manager will have people leadership skills, a strong understanding of service delivery and be able to collect, analyze, and understand data to provide actionable insights in support of HR services. Responsible for leading a team that work cross-functionally to collect data and develop models to determine trends utilizing a variety of data sources. Manages a team of analysts and data engineers that retrieve, analyze and summarize business, operations and/or employee data in order to develop business intelligence, optimize effectiveness, predict business outcomes and decision-making purposes. *This is a virtual role; however, candidates should be within commuting distance to Philadelphia.Job Description
Core Responsibilities
Manages a team of data analysts and the team performance, meeting all quality standards and timely delivery of all outputsProduces data-driven insights that support the development of strategies for all HR Service Delivery related services and programsPresent analytical results and insights, including recommendations to support reaching strategic goals including documenting approaches and strategies to monitor core KPIsMeasures and analyzes performance of current programs and implements methods to improve processes.Creates relevant visualizations and reports analytical findings using innovative methods to promote understanding of key insightsLiaises with cross-functional teams (data producers and data users) to develop new data products to fit the changing needs of the business and develops innovative ways to collect new dataGuides and oversees the implementation of dashboards and reportsEstablishes and improves data processing and data gatheringEnsures data quality, governance and compliance with relevant regulationsLeads discussions with business leaders and stakeholders to understand data and analysis needs and develop technical requirements.Team queries disparate big data platforms such as SQL Server, Teradata.Team combines data as needed from disparate data sources to complete analysis.Reviews and communicates findings clearly and concisely through narrative-driven presentations and effective data visualizations to Company executives and decisionmakers.Stays current with emerging trends in analytics and AI and applies them to business challenges.Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Preferred Qualifications
Masters Degree preferredStrong communication skills with leaders at all levels3+ years in data analytics and people leadership, operations or HR utilizing visualization software, with strong project management acumenExperience managing large data setsAbility to synthesize data and translate into programmatic and system recommendations.Strong drive for results; ability to effectively prioritize, adjust quickly to changing priorities and execute while under pressureAbility to work independently and as part of a team
