Senior Legal Counsel – PSX Asia Pacific

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a motivated and driven senior legal counsel to join our team. You will work closely with regional and global teams on legal and compliance matters. Your expertise will ensure flawless execution of our business strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary legal business partner for PSX APAC responsible for all legal and compliance matters and provide strategic legal insights and trainings, including commercial, competition, corporate, employment, governance, IP, litigation, anti-bribery, fraud and regulatory, products liability, and data privacy.Manages more than half of the role by concentrating on commercial transactions, including drafting, reviewing and negotiating various types of contracts. Handles disputes and offers consultation on these transactions. Supports the business by advising on legal issues, drafting and reviewing contracts and representing the organization to customers, suppliers, competitors and government agencies.Collaborate with regional and global teams to develop, implement, and maintain a compliance program that balances company philosophy with local laws and culture; monitor compliance and provide associated legal advice and regular reports to senior management.Validated ability to develop collaborative and positive relationships both internally and within third party organizations, including outside counsels.Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Bachelor of Law degree from a recognized university/law school.PRC or US bar qualification10+ years of experience representing life science or other medical device companies within multinational companies as in-house counsel and/or an international law firm, with APAC legal support experience as a plus.Proven experience working within matrix organizations and adopting various legal approaches.Excellent business sense, good judgment, and strong influencing skills.Ability to develop practical processes/approaches and drive solutions to completion.Strong communication skills, and great teamworkAbility to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.Ability to run time and priorities including balancing multiple assignments.Proficient in spoken and written English.Travel is estimated at less than 20%.Benefits
