Job Description Key Responsibilities  This is a hands-on coding role, part of a cross functional team, working with other developers, quality, and operations engineers.  Work on the development of our new product delivering multiple different sources of data to our customers  Responsible for designing, documenting, supporting and implementing new microservices  Interface with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements  Write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of complex system components  Complete complex bug fixes  Work closely with other development team members to understand complex product requirements and translate them into software designs  Successfully implement development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews  Operate in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders  Resolve complex technical issues as necessary  Train entry-level software engineers as directed by department management, ensuring they are knowledgeable in critical aspects of their roles  Keep abreast of new technology developments  Design and work with complex data models  Mentor less-senior software developers on development methodologies and optimization techniques  All other duties as assigned Ideal Pay $50-55/hr (Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education) We are a company committed to creating inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Skills and Requirements Education and Experience  5+ years of Software Engineering experience in an Agile environment  BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required. Masters preferred. Technical Skills  Advanced knowledge of Agile software development framework  Hands on experience with big data and Java integrations  Experience in ML algorithms and implementations within product workflows  Working knowledge of Spring Boot, Docker containers and micro services  Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration  Experience with micro-services and reactive programming  Experience creating CI/CD pipelines  Experience with Azure  Strong proficiency with data manipulation language including optimization techniques  Strong understanding of normalized/dimensional data modeling principles  Expertise in development languages including but not limited to: Java/J2EE, Tomcat, Spring Integration, HTML, XML, SQL, Linux  Database & Data Handling: SQL, NOSQL, Query optimization and Data Caching Strategies  Performance Tuning  Security best practices (OWASP, OAuth2, JWT)  Strong research skills  Knowledge in using and developing applicable tool sets  Ability to interface competently with other technical and business personnel to finalize requirements  Knowledge of test-driven development  Ability to complete complex bug fixes  Good oral and written communications skills Optional/Nice to have:  Elk Stack/other monitoring tools for log analytics  Event streaming/messaging platforms like Apache Kafka, Spring batch. null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
