Job Description A global chemical manufacturing company is seeking a Sr. IT Manufacturing Applications Specialist in the Woodlands, TX area. This person will be responsible for managing around a dozen or so applications within the organization's Central Manufacturing area of the business, including but not limited to: AspenTech, RAPNET, Meridian, OSI Pi and AutoCAD. This person will be responsible for full lifecycle management of global or regional strategic apps, testing & deployment, rationalization, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring proper documentation. Skills and Requirements 5-10 years of IT Application and Infrastructure Support, ideally relating to critical Manufacturing, Engineering, EHS, or Quality apps Experience with complete lifecycle management of applications including: planning and requirements gathering, rationalization, testing and deployment, operations and maintenance, retirement Knowledge of / familiarity with OSI 7-layer Model Experience with Virtual Desktop technologies (Azure, VMWare, HyperV, etc.) Understanding of servers, storage, backups, high availability, fault tolerance, as well as firewalls & cyber security best practices Strong understanding of networking: what is a VLAN/DMZ, layer 3 switch, subnetting, packet flows Experience with SSH/key skills: distributing/generating keys, understanding of where they are stored on connecting computers Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation Experience with: AspenTech, RAPNET, Meridian, OSI Pi or AutoCAD Experience with Purdue Model null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
