Sr. Internal Auditor
Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Internal Auditor to join our team in Southfield, Michigan. In this role, you will collaborate with the Director of Internal Audit and organizational leaders to evaluate control measures, ensure compliance with regulations, and uphold financial reporting standards. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the integrity of processes across a dynamic manufacturing environment. Responsibilities: • Lead comprehensive audits covering financial operations, business processes, and plant activities to ensure compliance and efficiency. • Review records and transactions to verify adherence to accounting standards, laws, and company policies. • Identify and assess risks across various functions to develop and execute effective audit plans. • Compile and present detailed audit findings and actionable recommendations to management. • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization. • Analyze complex data sets to identify issues and recommend innovative solutions. • Oversee special projects at North American facilities as assigned by leadership. • Conduct testing and documentation of controls in collaboration with external auditors. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or internal auditing. • Certification such as CPA or CIA is preferred. • Willingness to travel up to 30% for audit assignments. • Background in manufacturing sector is required. • Strong ethical standards with a focus on integrity and accountability. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Analytical mindset with advanced problem-solving abilities.
