Sr. HR Generalist with Employee Relations Focus

Position Overview

As a Sr. HR Generalist, you will serve as a trusted partner to employees and managers, providing expert guidance on a wide range of HR and employee relations matters. This role is critical in driving operational HR excellence, supporting talent planning, and fostering a positive and compliant workplace culture. You will act as the first point of contact for low/medium complexity employee relations issues, coach managers on policy and performance, and collaborate with HR Business Partners to deliver impactful people strategies. This is a high-impact role ideal for an HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about continuous improvement and employee experience.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary HR contact for employees and managers, addressing day-to-day HR inquiries and employee relations needs.

Drive core HR processes including but not limited to performance reviews, compensation planning, goal setting, job evaluations, and position management.

Partner with HR Business Partners to support mid-level talent planning and provide coaching to people managers.

Coordinate talent review preparation and ensure follow-through on development actions for middle managers.

Provide policy guidance and coaching to managers, resolving low-risk escalations independently.

Leverage HR analytics to identify trends, recommend interventions, and measure the impact of HR initiatives.

Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws and internal policies.

Collaborate with specialist HR teams to implement and optimize programs that support business goals.

Participate in process improvement initiatives and contribute to HR projects of moderate complexity.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a generalist or advisory capacity.

Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.

Demonstrated ability to manage employee relations cases with professionalism and discretion.

Proven experience coaching managers and influencing stakeholders at various levels.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in using Workday and HR analytics tools.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
