Sr. HR Coordinator

As a Senior HR Coordinator, you will oversee and coordinate a variety of HR functions including onboarding, compliance, and HR administration. You will serve as a liaison between employees and management, ensuring clear communication and consistent application of HR policies and procedures. **Key Responsibilities** * Coordinate and support HR processes including hiring, onboarding, benefits administration, and employee offboarding. * Provide New Hire Orientation training within the facility. * Provide training to new supervisors on the non-exempt employee timecards for payroll purposes. * Assist Employees with inquiries pertaining to Benefits Open Enrollment * Maintain employee files, proof of medical insurance form as required by MCS for an annual audit. State mandated task to enter all new hires personal information into the PR Govt child support system. Complete projects as assigned. * Ensure compliance with Puerto Rico labor laws and company policies. * Provide bilingual (English/Spanish) support in all HR communications and documentation. * Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in HRIS systems. * Administrator for PR Savings Plan. Responsibilities include participation in the annual audit by external auditors for compliance and filing of 5500 form for DOL. * Participate in quarterly meetings with PR Health Insurance. Manage all processes for applicable LOA leaves. * Prepare COBRA notifications for dependents over 26 and exiting employees. * Facilitate training sessions and support employee engagement initiatives. * Collaborate with HR leadership to improve processes and implement HR strategies. * Contribute to special HR projects and process improvement initiatives that enhance our overall HR service delivery. * Assess and respond to employee questions and inquiries; triaging the request, researching options, providing compliant, consistent answers, and engaging appropriate subject matter experts as needed. * Maintain compliant electronic and manual employee records. Conduct periodic audits and compliance checks. **Qualifications/Experience & Interpersonal Skills** Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, a related field or equivalent direct experience. * 3-5 years of progressive HR experience; experience in manufacturing or the medical device industry is a plus. * Strong understanding of Puerto Rico labor laws and HR best practices. * Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required. * Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, ServiceNow or equivalent). * Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. * Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism. * Knowledge of HR policies and practices, employment laws and regulations. * Expertise in one or more disciplines - employee relations, benefits, OSHA, FMLA, workers compensation, or new hire orientation * Collaborates with corporate HR and payroll teams to support compensation, benefits, and employee relations initiatives. * Highly organized with the capability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment. **Physical Requirements** The physical requirements listed in this section include, but are not limited, to the motor/physical abilities and skills required of this position to successfully undertake the essential duties and responsibilities of this position.
