Sr. GTM Database Specialist Architecture, EMEA GTM SSA Data
Are you passionate about providing Database technical solutions to AWS key customers? Do you have a strategic mindset to help your business partners build scalable go-to-market (GTM) plans that benefit hundreds of thousands of customers? In this role, you will help some of our largest customers build and deploy database solutions using Amazon Web Services and its partner networks. You will also engage with AWS product owners to influence product roadmap and the evolution of the next generation of database solutions in AWS.

This role is for a senior database solution architect who has experience with a variety of relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Aurora, etc.) and non-relational databases such as DynamoDB, who will act as a subject matter expert for helping customers in designing database solutions that leverage AWS serverless and managed services. You will directly interact with key customers to understand their business problems, design architectures, guide customers in implementations, deliver briefing and deep-dive sessions to upskill customers and help them adopt your solutions. As part of the EMEA GTM database specialist team, you will work closely with other solution architects from various geographies with diverse expertise in Data and AI domains to deliver end-to-end solutions to AWS customers. As a senior member, you will interact with other database solution architects in the field, providing guidance on their customer engagements. You will develop reference architectures, white papers, and presentations to enable customers and partners to fully leverage AWS database services. You will also create field enablement materials for the broader technical field population, to help them understand how to integrate AWS database solutions into customer business applications. You will drive effective feedback gathering from customers, and distill and translate that feedback into clear business and technical requirements for product and engineering teams to review.

Candidates must have great communication skills and be very technical, with the ability to impress Amazon Web Services customers at any level, from executive to developer. Travels in EMEA region and occasionally to other regions may be possible.

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.

Key job responsibilities
• Provide advanced technical knowledge to your domain (relational or non-relational databases) aligned GTM teams to unblock our customers’ largest and most critical business challenges.
• Represent the voice of the customer; bring customer feedback to product teams to influence feature development and future product roadmap.
• Act as a thought leader sharing best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures and public-speaking events such as AWS Summit, AWS re: Invent, etc.
• Partner with Business Development teams to define the technical components of best in class GTM concepts, solutions, and initiatives.
• Develop and support an AWS internal community of technical subject matter experts worldwide. Create field enablement materials for the broader SA population, to help them understand how to integrate Amazon Web Services solutions into customer architectures.A day in the life
