The Worldwide Sustainability (WWS) organization capitalizes on Amazon’s scale, speed, ability to build, invent, and simplify a resilient and sustainable company. Key job responsibilities - Produce clear and concise documentation such as detailed design specifications, drawings, white papers, diagrams, and reports. - Understand and safeguard implementation of the Global Architectural Basis of Design (BoD) by driving standardization in the data center architectural designs. - Development of strategic solutions, which meet or exceed our quality requirements and fall within our budgetary requirements. Capture requirements and turn aspirational company or customer goals into well-defined, achievable and testable specifications and solutions. - Define project scope and provide technical support for information requests prior to, and during innovation and research and development projects. - Work with regional vendors and manufacturers to specify the appropriate solutions. - Work on concurrent projects in multiple geographical regions. Make sure you apply with a detailed CV. - Degree in Architecture and Architecture license - 5+ years of commercial / industrial design experience with 2+ years of mission critical facilities design experience - Working experience with MEP engineering consultants and large scale mechanical and power systems, including, vendor and consultant management skills - Solid working proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Navis works, Bluebeam, and MS Office Suite. As well as proficiency in building codes, regulations, and standards including IBC, IFC, and NFPA. - Excellent communication skills with both internal and external project partners, attention to detail, and high quality standards. As well as ability to manage multiple fast paced projects simultaneously Preferred Qualifications - Master’s degree in Architecture and 3+ years of Data Center design experience - Drive Continuous Improvement methodologies and culture (ex: LEAN, Six Sigma or TPS) - Demonstrated ability to evaluate the constructability of new technologies, and determine construction methods of data center equipment and facilities.
