Sr. Geomechanics- IES

 Job Purpose

As a Sr. Geomechanics at Weatherford, you will be taking on a critical a role in constructing geomechanical models that contribute to a better understanding of rock mechanics, as well as developing effective strategies and workflows for developing innovative solutions for complex subsurface challenges by analyzing and interpreting a wide range of subsurface datasets. including seismic data, well logs, well tests, image logs, mud logs, and drilling reports.

Responsibilities

Maintain the highest standards of corporate governance, ensuring ethical and compliant practices Prioritize quality, health, safety, security, and environmental protection in all operations Executing geomechanical project work including but not limited to determination of stress field and carry out safe mud weight window, analysis of drilling events to calibrate Geomechanics parameters, fracture gradient prediction, determination of rock properties from laboratory core measurements, calculate and calibrate pore pressure profile , image & caliper log analysis, sand production prediction and other related topics Collaborate with clients to provide integrated solutions and understand their needs Create presentations, technical papers, and other project deliverables  Working together with diverse technical professionals on multi-disciplinary initiatives. Supporting the development of x-product lines through technical assistance

Qualifications 

You have a university degree in in petroleum, Civil Engineering, or Geoscience discipline alongside robust technical capabilities in geomechanics and extensive background within the Oil and Gas Industry Minimum five (5) years of industry experience in geomechanics. You have a master’s or PhD degree in Geotechnical, Geomechanics, Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geophysics, or a related field is advantageous.    You have expertise in building geomechanical models and working with software such as Techlog, Petrel or similar for Geomechanics is a must You have prior experience in 1D geomechanical modeling You have strong analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills You are a self-starter, eager to learn, and adapt positively to changes
