Sr. Financial Analyst
Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our team in Coppell, Texas. In this role, you will lead critical financial processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, while providing actionable insights to senior leadership. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to strategic decision-making and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve financial objectives. Responsibilities: • Serve as a trusted financial partner to the organization and the Vice President of Finance, offering data-driven insights and recommendations. • Collaborate with various departments to align financial strategies and achieve organizational goals. • Lead monthly forecasting and close processes, including balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis. • Prepare and deliver comprehensive monthly business review presentations to senior leadership. • Conduct in-depth variance analysis to identify root causes and propose actionable solutions to improve financial performance. • Monitor and communicate risks and opportunities within the forecast to ensure leadership is informed and surprises are minimized. • Identify and address control gaps by developing and presenting improvement recommendations to leadership. • Calculate and track monthly and quarterly incentive compensation, providing regular updates on progress towards goals. • Perform ad-hoc financial analysis, build analytical models, and assist with corporate financial consolidations as needed. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required. • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP& A) within a corporate environment. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with proven experience creating detailed financial reports. • Familiarity with financial planning tools such as Workday, Oracle, Adaptive, TM1, Tableau, or Hyperion is a plus. • Strong expertise in variance analysis, including root cause identification, data interpretation, and preparation of detailed commentary. • Demonstrated ability to build financial bridges (waterfalls) comparing forecasts to actual results. • Background in mortgage, real estate, accounting, commercial banking, or investment banking is advantageous. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to leadership effectively.
