Eli Lilly and Company seeks a Sr. Engineer — Oligonucleotide (R2-R4) to develop automation solutions and manufacturing processes for oligonucleotide drug substances. Write automation programs needed for new synthesizers and unit operations. Provide automation technical leadership and project management for engineering projects. Design and execute laboratory experimentation. Generate creative solutions for improving existing processes and create novel processes. Transfer process technical information to internal and external manufacturing sites. Generate engineering-based process scale-up knowledge for specific products and unit operations used across a variety of products. #LI-DNI Position requires a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related engineering field and 2 years of experience within pharmaceutical manufacturing. Experience must include a minimum of: 2 year of experience with DeltaV programming within GMP manufacturing; 2 years of experience initiating and driving continuous improvement efforts of manufacturing process; 2 years of experience with leading root cause failure analysis; and 2 years of experience with GECMS program tools, GMARS, PLC programming, PI ProcessBook, and TrackWise; 1 year of experience performing research and design of experiments; and 1 year of experience with Aspen Plus, JMP, Python, and SAP. Must have Emerson DeltaV 7009 and DeltaV 7016 certification. The anticipated wage for this position is $113,194 Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
