What IT Quality Control contributes to Cardinal Health

Information Technology oversees the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers Information Technology solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value.

Quality Control analyzes and inspects Information Technology products and processes for compliance to internal and external specifications and standards. This job family collaborates with IT Project Management, Business Integration, and Application Development & Maintenance teams, among others, during implementation and integration projects to proactively identify compliance requirements and risks. Quality Control also conducts regular audits and develops and communicates new quality control procedures for the function.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Test Strategist who can lead and drive innovation and transformation for our Test Management office(TMO). This person is expected to work hand in hand with the CoE Lead and drive Quality Assurance (QA) transformation initiatives and drive excellence in testing strategies and solutions. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in QA transformation, automation, performance testing, security testing, API testing, mobile application testing, and a deep understanding of modern QA tools, technologies, and AI-driven testing tools (GenAI).

Qualifications:

BA, BS or equivalent experience in related field. Advance Degree preferredBachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a software-related discipline.10+ years as a software automation tester, with at least 5 years in QA leadership role.

Mandatory Skills:

Test Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies that cover end-to-end test execution to roll out complex digital products in a complex multiple technology domain. This includes System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Smoke Tests, with an emphasis on quality, alignment with requirements, and overall test coverage.Provide coaching to Test Leads and Test Engineers, to ensure the team has the proper skillset and mindset to support our mission of delivering reliable solutions. Build and maintain a capacitation strategy to track different levels of seniority in the team and their development over time.Step in to execute Hands-on Coordination & Test Execution whenever needed: Lead and coordinate hands-on test execution activities, ensuring tests are performed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. This includes functional and non-functional testing activities across the team. Unblocking the team whenever needed, taking tactical and strategic discussions with multiple stakeholders.Resource & Deliverable Accountability: Oversee resource planning by closely interacting with Domain Test Leads, Delivery Leads and Product Managers to ensure test deliverables are completed on schedule. Ensure that the test plan is followed, and any test issues are identified and resolved promptly.Acceptance Criteria & Sign-off: Define clear acceptance criteria for each test phase as part of the Test Strategy. Ensure these criteria are met before sign-offs are provided for each stage of the testing process, maintaining transparency with stakeholders and ensuring business objectives are met.Collaboration & Cross-Functional Engagement: Partner with Domain Test Leads, Product Managers, Product Owners, Delivery Leads, Engineering Leads, and Tech Leads to ensure alignment on quality goals and testing requirements across multiple Agile Release Trains.Test Process & Continuous Improvement: Drive best practices in test processes, tools, and methodologies. Foster continuous improvement by regularly evaluating and optimizing the testing lifecycle to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.Reporting & Documentation: Prepare and deliver comprehensive test execution status reports and communicate results and risks to key stakeholders. Maintain thorough documentation of test plans, results, defects, and other critical test artifactsCoordinate test related work between on-shore and off-shore teams maintaining schedules and prioritizing tasks.Set project plans and quality expectations for major releases that are grounded in a solid understanding of customer impact and our product offerings.Strong people management skills with a proven ability to hire, coach, and grow talent within your team(s).Experience developing automation in agile development environments leveraging methodologies that include continuous integration, deployment and delivery, and test-driven development.Experience creating and implementing test automation strategies and performance testing methodologies, along with the associated tools and techniques (unit, functional, integration) used to execute automated test suites, and debug test failures.Ideal candidate should be comfortable explaining and applying successful industry practices and capable of integrating them into our environment.You should be an excellent communicator that is easy to work with, you should be comfortable articulating concepts to stakeholders and management across multiple business functions.Have strong technical skills, both functional and non-functional, manual and automation, ideally in a continuous delivery environment.Ability to build, and direct quality assurance principles and maintain the quality of delivery between Cardinal Health and its vendors and partners

Structured and influential communicator: verbally, in written documentation and in presentationsExperience of working with different platforms Mobile, Web applications and API Hands on experience in automated testing of API, web applications & mobile applications using Selenium Appium.Knowledge on SAP Test planningPossess good analytical skills, with excellent problem-solving abilities.Experience with Jenkins or other CI/CD pipeline tools is a plusExperience in practices like BDD/TDD/ATDD and test automation is a plusKnowledge of Object-Oriented Programming concepts is a plus.Exposure to Mobile Applications, eCommerce and healthcare domain Testing is a plusExposure to Katalon is a plusSolid experience (5+ years) in driving complex test strategy formulation and execution, particularly in a multiple technology domain such as E-commerce/CRM/ERP rollouts, consisting of a background in SAPProven hands-on experience with end-to-end test execution, including SIT, UAT, and Smoke Tests.Experience working in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment and with Agile Release Trains is highly preferred.Ability to functionally manage Test Leads and Test Engineers, guiding them through testing phases while maintaining accountability for the overall test process.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels.Certifications in Software Testing (e.g., ISTQB, SAFe) are a plus.
