We are seeking a Sr. Design Release Engineer, Interior, Instrument Panel. This position requires an experienced professional who demonstrates the ability to work with highly passionate engineers on a global team. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, possess the ability to learn quickly, and strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.

8+ years of demonstrated experience as a detail-oriented Interior Components and Systems development lead for Instrument Panels Knowledge and understanding of automotive Interior Components and Systems industry benchmark, trends and supplier competencies Experience creating/improving/establishing technical product specifications and timelines to achieve an accelerated development cycle towards SOP Vehicle and product launch experience Proven experience in interior process, such as wrapping, injection molding, painting, compression molding and other state of the art manufacturing processes Proven experience in common structural part manufacturing processes such as stamping, extrusion and casting Proven experience in geometrical dimensioning and tolerance in detail through applying tolerance targets into component locators, attachment methods and overall gap and flushness requirements Strong in engineering fundamentals to create solutions that are not yet state of the art

Ability to lead a cross-functional team of different cultures and nationalities Work ethic that results in overall best solutions even when required in continuous changing and high-pressure situations A second language of Spanish or German One full program cycle experience from concept to production launch in automotive instrument panels Experience creating complex CAD models in CATIA V6 quickly and efficiently while holding CAD part, tree, links & publications to an excellent standard Experienced in interpreting and guiding modal analysis, finite element method analysis and computational fluid dynamics Master of Science in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering
