Job Summary

Contribute to Comcast’s Network Operations Monitoring & Development (NOMAD) platform, the multi-tenant, device and network service lifecycle management platform responsible for automating the management of Comcast’s network to simplify operational activities, drive reduction in total number of outages and mean time to restore (MTTR), and increase network visibility; As a DI (Device Integration) team, our mission is to communicate with network devices from different make/model, interpret the requests and responses, execute commands on the device, and transform the data in a uniform vendor neutral format with low latency.

Core Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, debug and document new and existing software and or applications for real-times communication services.Evaluate new and emerging technologies for implementation.Create platform and other application prototypes.Develop unit test cases and meet the quality metricsContribute to and respond to peer code reviews as needed.Write code to create robust and scalable applications.

Qualifications

Java programming background in backend. Worked on Spring and Spring boot framework, CI/CD tools, testing frameworkExperience to any cloud platform (AWS, Azure or GCP). AWS is a plusExperience in working with Distributed systems including NoSQL Databases, Messaging systems.Analytical and problem-solving skills and able to work as part of cross-functional teams.Understanding concepts of multi-threading, cache, memory management, Java Virtual Machine.Experience in OO concepts and patterns.Good communication and organizational skills

Desirable Skills:

Prior experience in working with network devicesExposure to other languages like Python, Go is a plus
