The Opportunity: 

The Reliability Engineer role is critical to WestRock’s efforts to improve reliability and optimize area production units within the mill. This position works closely with operations and maintenance personnel to improve performance of equipment. One of the key deliverables of this position is to help shift the culture from a reactive to a proactive environment.

How you will impact WestRock:

Works in team environment to investigate incidents relative to equipment failure, root cause analysis and to develop and follow-up on recommendationsDevelop inspection procedures, support monitoring equipmentProgram and update condition-based monitoringImplement into MIS with IT assistance (set up alarm pages/formats, etc.)Monitor alarms -- ensure appropriate follow-upReview and recommend preventive maintenance tasksDevelop preventive and predictive maintenance proceduresDocument metrics to track cost and reliability improvementsAssess, and maintain, priorities for cost and reliabilityCoordinate training programs associated with diagnosticsUltrasonic inspections, hydraulic training, special electrical inspections, lubrication inspection programsRecommend/request design changesPerform direct engineering for small scope changesReview spare parts with an emphasis on commonality and inventory controlResearch developing technologiesPerform life cycle analysis, failure criticality, failure modes/effects analysis, and root cause failure analysis

 

What you need to succeed:

B.S. in Engineering or equivalent preferredCMMS, Project Engineering, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, Oil Analysis program, Predictive/Preventive Maintenance practices to include Vibration Analysis, Infrared Thermography, Laser Alignment, NDE and Root Cause Failure Analysis.Proven commitment to safetyDemonstrated problem solving/decision making skillsEffective written and oral communication skillsSuccessful candidate must exhibit an understanding of business processes and procedures, reliability processes and workflows, and be able to actively seek continuous improvementExperience with a maintenance organization and maintenance control systemDemonstrated ability to learn processes for purchasing/requisitions and spare parts procurementWorking knowledge of EAM Systems, Microsoft Word, and Excel

Compensation Offered

 

Pay (or pay range): $88,900 – $133,200 DOE (Junior, Intermediate, Senior levels)Bonus/Commission Eligible:  Yearly Short-Term Incentive Program (STIP) Bonus based off metrics

The salary range for this position is $100,875.00 - $168,125.00, depending on your role, level, and location. Your actual pay will be based on your work location and other factors, such as your skills, experience, and education.
