Sr. Electrical Systems Technician - Sanitaire - Southwest

We invite passionate individuals to join our team, dedicated to exceeding customer expectations through innovative and sustainable solutions. **Senior Electrical Systems Technician** Xylem is seeking a Senior Electrical Systems Technician to join our multi-disciplinary regional teams. The technician will collaborate with Territory Managers, Applications Engineers, Project Engineers, and Project Managers to support the execution of engineered-to-order projects. This role requires full ownership of on-site activities related to electrical and software design and implementation. Key Responsibilities: + **Site Operations:** + Perform and oversee on-site project commissioning for domestic and international projects. + Validate system readiness through Factory Acceptance Testing. + Conduct safety audits and enforce safety practices with Stop Work Authority. + Coordinate on-site activities with third-party contractors and engineering consultants. + **Technical Skills and Support:** + Provide start-up and troubleshooting for Xylem Treatment products including Sanitaire, Leopold, and Flygt. + Utilize expert-level programming skills for PLC & HMI systems (e.g., Allen Bradley, Siemens, Schneider). + Engage in SCADA system integration within and beyond the Xylem control network. + **Customer Engagement:** + Act as Xylem’s customer-facing representative. + Identify additional revenue opportunities on-site. + Provide virtual and phone support for direct customer interactions. + **Training and Development:** + Conduct product training for plant operations and maintenance staff. + Mentor and coach new employees and existing Xylem staff. + **Travel Requirement:** + Maintain a significant travel schedule to project sites, supplier factories, and technical conferences both domestically and internationally. + Must be willing to travel both domestically and internationally Qualifications: + **Required:** + Associate or technical degree in Electrical, or five years of equivalent experience. + Experience with electrical systems testing and on-site execution. + Competency with MS Word, Excel, and internet functions. + Strong communication skills and ability to interpret complex engineering drawings. + **Preferred:** + Electrician or Master Electrician license. + Field wiring and mechanical assembly skills. Additional Information: + **Physical Demands:** + Regular physical activity, including lifting 50 lbs and using trade tools. + Ability to wear PPE in construction environments. + **Work Environment:** + Office and on-site settings, with potential exposure to mechanical, electrical, and chemical hazards. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience, and work location.
