Senior Director EMEA Wholesale Strategic Marketplace - CK
The Team
Within the Full Price Buying & Merchandising team, our mission is to ensure the Global Full Price product strategy is adapted to meet the specific needs of the region to maximize DTC performance & wholesale growth, and to ensure operational readiness across the Full Price buying teams. This position serves as the backbone of the Full Price team, collaborating closely with Hubs and wider CK teams to drive overall commercial performance. With an integral position in the team, the role contributes significantly to the department’s operational efficiency, strategic growth and overall success.
The Position
As Senior Director EMEA Wholesale Strategic Marketplace, you will be crucial to the Full Price Buying & Merchandising team, managing the dedicated wholesale strategic marketplace pillar, driving a more strategic approach to managing wholesale accounts across the region, promoting best practice, supporting hub sales teams and driving product strategies and assortment. This role is vital for achieving the Full Price Buying & Merchandising objectives and your work will be key to commercial success of the wholesale channels
Key Responsibilities:
• Wholesale marketplace strategy: Develop & execute regional wholesale marketplace strategy, aligning with global GTM plans across the hubs, wholesale channels and business pillars to maximize growth and profitability in the marketplace and key accounts
• Growth plans: create growth plans for key accounts, driving volume and brand perception in the marketplace
• Hub collaboration: act as the key liaison between regional strategy and wholesale hub teams, ensuring strong GTM execution; collaborate on strategic meetings, trade reviews, collection reviews, sales appointments
• Strategic sales feedback: provide strategic sales feedback to product teams, ensuring the right assortment for the EMEA market. Oversee product initiatives for successful Go-to-Market rollouts in the marketplace.
• Channel distribution strategy: Implement channel distribution strategies for Franchise, Department Stores, and Pure Players to strengthen marketplace presence and oversee segmentation and marketplace strategy across all WHS channels
• Business growth: Track seasonal business growth and manage direct business (ATS, NOS), ensuring alignment with sales forecasts and LY performance.
• Market visits: Conduct market visits, support strategic account and key account meetings, and seasonal sell-in events to support marketplace growth.
• Data analysis and insight: Utilize data analytics and market research to monitor the competitive landscape, identifying new opportunities and trends to drive business growth.
• Wholesale partnership: Work with WHS partners to optimize the in-store and online shopping experience, creating compelling assortments and ensuring brand perception is enhanced, driving both sales and customer satisfaction.
• Team collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including hub sales and account management teams, customers, planning and buying teams, Visual Merchandising (VM), and marketing, to enhance marketplace execution and product assortment strategies.
• Support departmental plans: work with the VP CK FP Buying & Merchandising to develop departmental plans and priorities
Measures of Success
• Revenue & growth: increasing marketplace revenue contribution, high number of active sellers, high levels of product assortment growth
• Profitability: high marketplace profit margin and ROI on initiatives
• Seller & partner performance: high levels of seller retention, satisfaction and low partner onboarding time
Requirements
• Minimum 12 years’ experience in Sales Strategy with a focus on GTM and key account management
• Able to work in a fast paced, matrix based, challenging environment. Strong influencing skills with experience in managing cross functional teams and marketplace execution
• Proven ability to manage and grow key accounts in fast paced environment
• Proven analytical, planning and organization skill with the ability to generate meaningful data insight to take commercial decisions.
• Communication skills: advanced ability to clearly convey information both written and orally with executive internal stakeholders and senior external stakeholders, effectively influencing others
• Commercial Acumen: Advanced business and commercial acumen skills
• Team player: Team player, and proven previous experience of 7+ years building and managing a team, coaching and developing individual team members providing stewardship, guidance and support
• Fluent English both written and verbal
• Ability to travel abroad
• Education: a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent professional experience
