We are actively seeking a Sr. Director, Rimini Custom. The role will report directly to the GVP, Professional Services.  The Sr. Director, Rimini Custom will be based in the US and may work from a remote office. Travel up to 10% to support client engagements, and industry events on as needed basis.

Position Summary

The Sr. Director, Rimini Custom is a key leadership role responsible for leading the product intake, assessment, and qualification, as well as participation in pre-sales processes to drive Rimini Street’s aggressive sales and growth objectives. This role emphasizes strategic evaluation of net new products under Rimini Custom while playing a critical role in aiding pre-sales activities to support sales teams regionally. The Sr. Director will collaborate closely with Sales, Product Management, and Service Delivery to assess new product opportunities and provide technical expertise during the sales cycle to articulate Rimini Street’s value proposition and close deals. The role balances product development responsibilities with active leadership through the sales cycle to ensure alignment with client needs and market demands.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Lead Product Investigation and Intake: Lead the intake, assessment, and qualification of net new product opportunities under Rimini Custom, managing the volume of inbound whitespace analysis to identify high-potential products aligned with Rimini Street’s strategic goals. Drive Pre-Sales Support: Actively aid in pre-sales activities by partnering with Sales and pre-sales teams to articulate Rimini Custom’s value proposition and address technical and functional questions during sales cycles to drive deal closure.Collaborate on Solution Scoping and Proposals: Guide the development of solution scopes, pricing calculations, proposals, and RFP responses, ensuring alignment with client needs and Rimini Street’s service capabilities for net new products under Rimini Custom.Provide Strategic Input for Product Management, Marketing, and Sales Enablement: Collaborate with product managers and marketers to develop innovative position/messaging/product roadmap strategies and sales enablement to provide necessary sales training.Provide Regional Presence: Act as a senior representative for Rimini Custom in each assigned region, building strong relationships with regional stakeholders, aligning regional strategies with global objectives.Develop Strategic Resourcing Partnerships: Develop and nurture resourcing partnership with recruiting partners and suppliers to ensure timely fulfillment of strategic solution architecture staffing requirements in new areas of business.Facilitate Collaboration with Service Delivery: Work with Global Service Delivery (GSD) during the solutioning phase to define support requirements, assist with support engineer job descriptions without directly managing hiring processes.Ensure Process Efficiency: Develop and refine processes to streamline product assessment, qualification, launch, and pre-sales activities, ensuring scalability and alignment with business objectives.Represent Rimini Street: Participate in industry events, conferences, and client meetings to deliver relevant presentations, showcase new product offerings under Rimini Custom, and reinforce Rimini Street’s market presence.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

Foster and reinforce Rimini Street’s collaborative, innovative, and client-centric culture.Provide feedback to Product Management to shape the product roadmap and enhance value-added services.

Experience

10+ years of experience in supporting technical sales, solution architecture, or product management within an enterprise software or services environment, with a strong emphasis on consultative selling.5+ years in a leadership role, ideally managing cross-functional or technical teams.Proven track record of assessing and launching new products or services, with hands-on experience with enterprise software ecosystems.Demonstrated success in supporting sales cycles, including solution scoping, proposal development, and delivering presentations to C-level executives.Experience in creating high-level job description templates and demand models for solution architect/SME technical roles to support product solutioning and launch.Experience in building, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring highly specialized technologists, architects, and application SMEs across multiple technologies, industries, and products.Familiarity with enterprise software ecosystems and solution architecture.Expertise and familiarity in determining Margin First Pricing Models with the Solution Engineering Team for new product offers.

Additional Experience (Optional)

Exposure to regulated industries (e.g. PCI, NERC, CIP, MHRA) and experience engaging with clients in these sectors during sales activities.Security clearance (SC or above) is desirable for engaging with prospects in sensitive industries.

Skills

Understanding of enterprise software ecosystems, including functional and technical interoperability, software licensing, and solution architecture.Strong pre-sales experience, with the ability to address objections, and tailor presentations to diverse audiences, from technical teams to C-level executives.Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation) with a focus on delivering compelling demonstrations and presentations.Proficiency in documentation tools (e.g., Word, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint) for creating and/or aiding in creation of presentations, topologies, and sales/marketing materials.Strong analytical skills to assess product viability and prioritize opportunities based on business case/ROI and risk assessment.Ability to review legal contracts and work cross functionally with Legal Teams and ensure they meet the offer Rimini Street is proposing for new Products.Ability to work independently in a remote environment, with discipline and adaptability to non-traditional work hours.Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on innovation, process improvement, and strategic problem-solving.

Education

Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.

Compensation is based on role, location, and level of applicable experience. 

Rimini’s target pay for each position is available upon request during the applicant’s Interview process.

The general salary range for this type of role is 179k - 224k depending on skills and experience.
