We are searching for the best talent to join our team as Senior Director, Product Development located in Danvers, MA. You will report directly to the Sr. Vice President of Engineering.
**Purpose:**
This Senior Director of Product Development is responsible for applying engineering principles to develop products that meet customer technical/functional specifications across the Heart Recovery platforms. This role is crucial in driving the development and commercialization of innovative cardiovascular solutions that enhance patient care and improve outcomes.
**You will be responsible for:**
This role requires leadership of teams responsible for activities determining if proposed designs are technically feasible; supporting and participating in the design, test, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototypes; and designing product specific manufacturing production processes and equipment.
Product Development Strategy:
+ Develop and execute a comprehensive product development strategy for both hardware & software products that addresses market needs and aligns with business objectives.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective integration of design, clinical, regulatory, and marketing activities throughout the product development lifecycle.
+ Drive the successful launch of new products, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards.
+ Drive adoption of next-generation capabilities such as AI/machine learning based monitoring algorithms, cloud integration, and analytics
+ Integrate DFM principles early in the development cycle to optimize quality & scalability of new products
Market Analysis & Innovation:
+ Stay abreast of technological advancements and industry trends in the cardiovascular space to inform product innovation.
+ Lead initiatives in research and development to create novel solutions that meet unmet medical needs.
Stakeholder Engagement:
+ Actively engage with key internal and external stakeholders, including physicians, clinical teams, and regulatory bodies, to gather insights and feedback for product development.
+ Collaborate and present product development updates and strategies to senior leadership and other internal stakeholders.
Leadership & Team Development:
+ Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing product development team focused on cardiovascular solutions.
+ Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.
+ Establish clear goals and objectives for the product development team and align them with the company’s strategic vision.
**Qualifications / Requirements:**
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or related field required
+ Strong knowledge of medical device regulations (FDA, MDR, etc.) required
+ Experience launching a complex electromechanical platform required
+ Deep understanding of product life cycle with ability to connect hardware & software to develop products that improve patient outcomes
+ 10+ years of experience in product development within the medical device or pharmaceutical industry
+ Proven experience in leadership roles with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
+ Exceptional project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to think strategically, with a proven ability to execute effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Advanced degree preferred
+ Experience launching a complex electromechanical platform with wearables, remote monitoring, or AI-driven diagnostics experience preferred
+ Strong understanding of the cardiovascular market, including trends, challenges, and regulatory requirements.
+ 10+ years of experience in product development within the medical device or pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on cardiovascular products.

**The anticipated base pay range for this position is :**
The expected base pay range for this position is $246,500 to $333,500.
Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis. Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees and/or eligible dependents are eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)). This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.
