About the Role

Enhance the vision for Life New Business and Underwriting solutions and establish a position as a thought leader in the market. Achieve assigned revenue goals within the Life Insurance vertical through the growth of new product offerings. Drive the creation of new products from concept generation, pricing, packaging, and marketing communication. Manage customer problem discovery research, competitive assessments, and macro level market intelligence.

Position can be remote in the US or hybrid from one of our offices.

Responsibilities

Strategic Planning: Enhance the overall strategy for Life New Business & Underwriting solutions including product positioning, market messaging, solution packaging, and product roadmap. Capture the voice of the market to ensure new offerings meet customer needs.

Establish thought leadership within the market by authoring communications and speaking at industry events.

Communicate new market directions internally and externally.

Drive the creation of new product concepts to support the strategic vision of the vertical.

Determine pricing models for new and existing offerings.

Manage solution packaging and marketing communications.

Opportunity Development & Relationship Management: Maintain existing relationships and generate new business opportunities based on market needs.

Collaborate with the Client Engagement team to establish and maintain senior-level customer contacts.

Prepare presentations for senior-level customer contacts.

Develop high-level contacts with industry partners.

Participate in merger and acquisition activities that align with the vertical’s mission and strategy.

New Product Introduction: Manage cross functional teams to further define new product offerings and create market requirements.

Collaborate with Business Process Management, New Product Execution, and Technology teams for product development.

Negotiate and define pricing models for specific opportunities, incorporating division margin requirements, competitive pricing levels, and customer value.

Conduct win/loss analysis.

Life Underwriting & Insurance Ecosystem Expert: Monitor the current state of the competitive landscape within the vertical.

Research and understand primary drivers of life insurance company goals, operating decisions, and trends.

Conduct competitive analysis when new products enter the vertical market.

Partner with the Industry Market Education team to monitor state and federal legislative, policy, and regulation changes.

Major Customer/Opportunity Support: Provide ongoing strategic consultation to Client Engagement and Platform Sales Executive teams in support of highly visible, highly valued accounts and opportunities.

Duties include customer strategy, customer meetings, requirements definition and documentation, coordination with internal and external technical resources, and senior management briefings.

Work with the Sales team to identify key target accounts and refine the appropriate message for each.

Promote products through trade show/convention exhibitions and the design of advertising and promotional materials.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.

10+ years of leadership experience in an insurance or technology company with a focus on innovation and/or product development.

5-7+ years of life insurance or adjacent market experience strongly preferred.

Project management skills.

Business analysis skills/experience.

Strong collaboration skills, including comfort working with ambiguity, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Position is eligible for base salary plus an annual bonus.

The salary range provided in this posting is the base salary range for Minnesota, Hawaii, and Colorado: $153,600 - 285,200 USD 

The salary range provided in this posting is the base salary range for Illinois, Maryland and Washington: $161,200 - 299,500 USD 

The salary range provided in this posting is the base salary range for California and Washington DC: $176,600 - 327,900 USD

The salary range provided in this posting is the base salary range for New York and New Jersey: $168,900 - 313,700 USD
