Job Description

The Senior Director - Visa Commercial Solutions Head – MEXICO is responsible for driving and accelerating our expansion in B2B payments in the market by working with our Clients to expand our solutions for Small Business, Large and Middle Market segments, B2B Verticals, B2B Acceptance and Commercial VAS. This key role will define market strategies and lead key commercialization initiatives including, establishing, developing and managing the relationship between Visa and VCS Clients (Products and wholesale Banking areas), setting direction, and implementation of country VCS strategies with the Clients to achieve business targets through growing the existing business and through identifying new business, conduct competitive assessments to identify gaps and opportunities, identify key industry trends and develop action plans. Understand clients pain point across the procurement cycle with VCS currents and future products and platforms creating and supporting our “network of networks” vision in MEXICO B2B Market. Significant evangelization of Commercial Solutions, enabling and delivering content and education to support internal and external clients to spread the innovation narrative for the segment.  The Senior Director will interact with highest levels of executives within Clients and Partners, including C-Suite and Board Members. It will also drive co-creation and human center design engagements with Clients and partners in MEXICO to co-develop innovative next generation solutions for companies of all sizes leveraging both our partners and Visa’s capabilities. Role will work on highly complex issues leading multidisciplinary projects setting direction with minimal mentorship in a dynamic, ambiguous work environment, and will have the ability to independently translate needs into detailed deliverables.

This role will have a dotted line to the MEXICO Geo Head.

Leads and directs the setting and implementation of country VCS strategies with Clients to achieve business targets through growing the existing business and through identifying new business opportunities including the introduction and implementation of new products and services.

Actively manages and tracks sales opportunities pipeline through every stage to a successful close of a net revenue producing deal.

Establish, develop, and manage the relationship between Visa and VCS Clients and partners, at the highest executive levels including C-Suite and Board Members

Manages and owns VCS Scorecard for MEXICO, including PV, net revenue and AANR targets

Identify new business development opportunities and take accountability for and manage the project evaluation of these. Focus on achieving business targets through growing existing business and developing new business opportunities. Monitor business results of designated clients and anticipate challenges and take proactive measures to accomplish targets

Lead commercialization initiatives to expand B2B payments

Responsible for identifying, sizing and prioritizing B2B payments business opportunities, define and develop new solutions and handle go-to-market activities.

Manage a key set of strategic initiatives designed to grow Visa’s market share in the segment

Work and partner with cross-functional internal teams in multiple-regions to expand necessary functionality, address barriers and secure funding needed to advance key initiatives

Develop strategic partnerships to bring creative B2B payment solutions to market, amplify impact, and accelerate speed-to-market

Coordinate go-to-market activities with internal and external partners

Actively monitor developments in payments and commerce, develop opinions/ideas on their implications for Visa.

Prioritize across multiple work streams, highlighting plans, risks and dependencies

Work with Innovation Designers to identify the right themes, partners and user experiences to rapidly prototype

Work closely with Innovation solution designers and teams of UI,UX specialists to convert use cases to confirmed prototypes

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
•12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10
years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA
/JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications
•15 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 12
years of work experience with an Advanced degree, or a minimum of 8 years of
work experience with a PhD
•Relevant experience in the Business payments space and/or wholesale/small
business banking (cash management, supplier payments, invoice processing,
electronic invoicing, supply-chain financing, procurement, treasury, financial
operations, business travel, etc.)
•Experience in the commercialization of solutions for businesses of all sizes
•This role requires a critical thinker with an analytical mindset and a data-driven
approach to problem solving
•Passion for technology, futurist view and intellectually curious
•Passion for develop new business in all industrial verticals.
•The successful candidate will a proven track record of leading change and be
able to create and drive a process to meet objectives and transformation
•Accepts and embraces ambiguity and leverages to take calculated risks, test,
iterate and pivot on ideas
•Thinks boldly and explores transformation ideas to improve the client Visa
Business Solutions performance
•Ability to relate to and empathize with clients and governments to influence
adoption of VCS solutions
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong ability to present
complex ideas in a clear, and concise manner to and executive audience
•Demonstrated experience building trusted relationships with business leaders
and a broad group of project team members and stakeholders
•Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrixed team environment, highly
collaborative and inclusive working style
•Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to achieve results as part of an
effective team, effectively prioritize and multi-task under deadlines
•Fluent in Spanish and English
