Your New Role…

The Video Editorial Senior Director leads teams who produce, shoot, and edit daily or long-form content for next-generation products with an eye towards identifying direct-to-consumer, paid experiences. The role requires an editorial and creative leader who understands user needs, multiplatform content experiences, and holds the highest standards for editorial excellence. Proven experience crafting compelling stories in the field and in post-production are a must.

Your Role Accountabilities…

Collaborates and communicates closely with global teams across the organizationSets and stewards editorial and creative vision for high-impact video initiatives across all platformsOversees the development and execution of new formats, series, and initiatives aligned with audience strategy and brand prioritiesLeads a team of senior producers and producers, ensuring clarity of editorial voice, creative ambition, and team alignmentOwns cross-functional collaboration with Programming, Product, Audience Development, and Design to ensure video performs at scaleElevates team’s editorial standards, actively develops creative talent and succession plansEnsures that performance feedback loops and learnings inform future creative development and distribution strategy

Qualifications & Experience…

10+ years of video editorial production experience, preferably within a newsroom or breaking news environment3+ years of team leadership with direct people management responsibilitiesStrong record of building and scaling video experiences or franchisesPrevious experience overseeing multiple teams and/or an entire production unit or verticalDemonstrated point of view of editorial vision and audience instinctDemonstrated strategic thinking & ability to execute on strategyProven organizational and team leadership/developmentProven ability to innovate in visual storytelling and format developmentData fluency and performance-driven editorial planningInterprets platform-native metrics, evaluates format impact on distribution, bridges creative strategy and technical distribution expertise.Experience working with global teams is a plusStrong communicator and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated ability to manage interdependent, matrixed stakeholder relationshipsMust be agile and adaptable in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $142,800.00 - $265,200.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
