What you'll be doing
You’ll be joining CIBC’s EPSP Shared Platform of Technology Team. As a Sr. Devops Consultant, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native infrastructure to support enterprise-scale projects. You will collaborate closely with development and operations teams to streamline deployment processes, enhance system reliability, and ensure seamless integration across multiple platforms. Your contributions will help optimize automation strategies, troubleshoot application-level issues, and leverage innovative tools to improve efficiency and the overall client experience.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. To successfully perform the work, you’ll be on-site full-time. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
How you'll succeed
Design and Development- Perform and coordinate complicated application programming activities. Design the application's technical infrastructure using specific databases, programming languages, utilities, and testing approaches. Lead the design and development of cost-effective and innovative solutions.
Strategic Planning- Develop multi-year technology roadmaps that align with the bank’s vision, strategy, and business goals. Lead multiple complicated projects involving backend systems, new technology, and the enhancement of existing applications.
Leadership Skills- Act as the mobile development team lead and run code-review sessions with the wider team to ensure the project is on track to meet goals. Support and mentor intermediate and senior developers by sharing knowledge, collaborating and problem solving.
Who you are
You can demonstrate 5 years+ experience in. Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Helm Charts, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, Git, Bash, Java, Python, Go, and Copilot. It’s an asset if you are fluent in Groovy scripting, CI/CD pipeline design, have experience with Layer 7 API Gateway, and are adept at using AI tools to streamline processes and enhance efficiency, as well as troubleshooting application-level issues in a DevOps environment.
