• Work with the Global Engineering team and technical leads to produce complete valve design packages, including concept designs, detailed drawings, BOM, calculation, analysis reports, and equipment specifications, and be capable of communicating the details of these design packages to the remaining project team (plant engineers, test engineers, project managers, supervisors, etc.)
• Preparation of design documentation for gate reviews
• Work closely with manufacturing teams and suppliers to conduct DFMs and solve problems as second level of escalation
• Preparation of technical files for Product certifications applicable to valve industry. Support sales & marketing literature, technical documentation like IoMs, brochures, TDS etc.
• Create / Review 3D part & assembly models, 2D manufacturing drawings, engineering BoMs
• Other responsibilities as assigned by management; job duties may change at any time with or without notice.
• Minimum 7 to 10 years’ experience in relevant area
• Min 3. years’ Experience in butterfly valve design preferably in double offset high performance butterfly valves
• Proven experience of new product designs, development, hands on experience with design verification tools such as 6σ, GD&T, DFMEA, QFD, DFM/A and engineering calculations.
• Working knowledge of international standards, such as ASME, API, EN, ISO, BS valve standards. ISO 9000 quality procedure.
• Hands on experience with design standards like EN 12516, ASME standards, API 609, AWWA etc.
• Excellent working experience in CAD software, such as Inventor, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo. Extensive working experience in Enovia.
• Knowledge of Product certifications
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes, materials used in valve industry.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess problems or issues on the shop floor.
• Familiar with measuring equipment (tactile or scan) to perform tests in Valves and actuator, tests also can be done on the shop floor.
• Strong mechanical engineering design fundamentals (static mechanics).
• Tech Savvy & Cultivates innovation.
• English fluent (written and verbal).
• Bachelor's Mechanical Engineering Degree or related Engineering
• Valve industrial experience will be an added advantage
