Summary

As a Sr. Database Administrator you will play a key role in designing and developing solutions to support data management, quality assurance, and data analytics initiatives within the Product Development and R&D group. You will work closely with Operations, Technology, and Risk groups across OneSource Virtual to facilitate new products and to help our business continue to grow rapidly.

Responsibilities

Analyze and translate business requirements into database solutions. This includes developing data models, and designing or tuning data transformations for medium complexity use cases.Writing or tuning stored procedures to implement the business logic, along with enhancing & debugging the existing database code- with focus on automation, efficiency and error handling.Hands on experience in query performance and database tuning for SQL Server and MySQL DatabasesWorking as a team member in the development process - analysis, design, development and testing as well as providing support.Ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision- exercising independent judgement, autonomy & proactivity.Provide in-depth analysis to identify current and future issues and develop innovative solutions.Work with on-premise and cloud hosted database solutions

Strong SQL Server and MySQL database creation, performance management, maintenance, and tuning skillsPerformance tuning expertise across stored procedures, logical and physical data model, and triggersSQL Tuning and experience mentoring software developers on tuning techniquesAbility to work with software developers and testers to achieve goals efficientlyData transformation and environment setupSelf-motivated to be part of a great team in a high growth company

Qualifications

Required

5+ years experience as a SQL Server and/or MySQL DBA to enable handling large datasets.3+ years hands-on experience with data modeling, database design and architecture.5+ years SQL tuning and database performance tuning.

Preferred

Experience with OLTP and Warehouse databases is highly preferred
